Honkai: Star Rail 3.8 Update Information — Banners, New Map, Events, and More
Honkai: Star Rail is preparing to release its 3.8 update soon. Unlike previous versions, this update will last eight weeks and will add many new features to the game. These include banners, a new map, a new character, and many new events. Let’s take a closer look at all of them.

New Honkai: Star Rail Banners
The new banners will be added to the game in three phases, and as mentioned above, these phases will span an eight-week period. Let’s show them in a table:

New Honkai: Star Rail Character
As you can guess from the tables above, Dahlia is the new character added to the game with update 3.8. She’s a 5-star hero and a member of the Annihilation Gang, which you might recognize from the Penacony storyline. A Fire-based character that follows the Nihility path, her abilities primarily deal AoE damage. She can also create a zone that prevents enemies from attacking. While we don’t know much about her yet, she has the potential to be a powerful character capable of influencing the meta.
New Honkai: Star Rail Map & Mission
The new mission, “Memories are the Prelude to Dreams,” takes place in the Penacony storyline and explores the backstories of multiple factions. You’ll unlock this new mission once you complete the “Stranger in a Strange Land” quest. Your goal appears to be to hunt down the memories you lost during your adventures in Penacony and discover who’s responsible, but once again, there’s no clear storyline beyond the general outline. The new map, “Dream of Gnawing Oak,” will be part of this new quest. In this map, you will also meet the new boss: Harbinger of Death: Swarm Nightmare.
New Honkai: Star Rail Events
Below you’ll find a list of the new events coming to the game with update 3.8. There are no specific timeframes for any of them, but they will all begin and end within the eight-week period mentioned above.
