RAID: Shadow Legends – Plarium Points Program, Champion Re-Balancing, and QOL Improvements in Patch 6.40

The biggest highlight for this patch is going to be the introduction of the Plarium Points Program which was hyped as a new way of obtaining more free rewards to all players. A new legendary champion, called “Searsha the Charred” is also being introduced to the game that will be exclusively only available through this Plarium Points program, among other juicy rewards. Some amazing Quality-of-life features that save more time for all players are also being implemented with this update. Tons of new balance changes for a specific roster of champions were also done to enhance the competitive aspect of the game. Let’s take a look at all the new changes that have come to RAID: Shadow Legends with Patch 6.40.

Plarium Points Program

The Plarium Points Program is a new initiative by Plarium to reward the players for playing RAID: Shadow Legends. These rewards are not directly coming into your in-game account but players are given points that can be used to redeem certain resources in the game. These points are called “Plarium Points” and players will be able to start collecting and receiving them after the update has been implemented. Players can get Plarium Point from different sources in the game. For starters, players get more points if they are playing RAID: Shadow Legends through Plarium’s own PC launcher such as Plarium Play Launcher.

This is a strong move against majority of the community who play the game through the Google Play Store or iOS App Store. But it’s being done majorly to promote their own platform as well as to introduce more games from Plarium to their community. Here are the key takeaways for the different ways players can earn Plarium Points:

  • Playtime Rewards – The Playtime rewards are going to be the biggest source of a regular income of Plarium Points for all the players. These playtime rewards are also being adjusted to add these Plarium Points at the 60-minute mark. Hence, players can get 3 Plarium Points daily for playing the game for a total of 60 minutes. Players can earn 6 more Plarium Points from playing the game through Plarium Play Launcher for the same time.

  • Advanced Quests – Advanced Quests will be revamped to add a new reward in terms of Plarium points where players are given 3 Plarium Points upon completing all of the given Advanced Quests each day. The overall completion quest does not count towards the overall rewards achieved by completing Advanced Quests.
  • Events and Tournaments – To increase the participation of players in different events and tournaments, Plarium will also include these juicy Plarium Points in their newly launched events and tournaments post update. Naturally, the quantity and the point requirements for achieving these milestones are yet to be known but we advise players to keep an active track of their standings in future events and tournaments.
  • In-game Offers – As per the patch notes, plarium will also be releasing new offers in-game that directly allows the players to get these Plarium Points in case they want to rush getting the rewards faster. Of course, these packs will be having a real-life price tag and can be purchased via microtransactions.

RAID: Shadow Legends has always been a pioneer in introducing new changes that benefit the overall gameplay loop for players. In Patch 6.40, many more such QOL changes can be seen to improve the gameplay experience of the players. Here is the list of new features and/or changes:

RAID: Shadow Legends – Plarium Points Program, Champion Re-Balancing, and QOL Improvements in Patch 6.40

  • Players can now change the order of their teams from the battle preparation screen itself in Tag Team Arena. This order change can be seen by clicking through the arrows present. A new Trash button is also being introduced to the game where players can instantly clear all the champions at a single click.
  • Players can now schedule to end their multi-battle sequence without resulting in ending the current battle. Further, players can now either “Stop the battle” or “End Current Battle” through the multi-battle sequence, according to the wish of the players.

Champion Rebalancing

Champion re-balancing has always been a priority for Plarium when introducing new patches to RAID: Shadow Legends. Although new champion balance changes are done pretty much with every new patch, they are done only for a select handpicked champions while the game has over 500+ champions at this point. The community has long been requesting to Plarium to add more champions to be re-balanced. Sadly, it seems to be falling to deaf ears as the same action as previous patches has been applied with Patch 6.40 as well. The changes made are sweet and diverse but sadly, they are made only for 3 champions. Here are the champions and the changes:
