Why limit yourself to your small screen on the phone? Run Greece TV & Radio (TV), an app by Antonio Dimitri, best experienced on your PC or Mac with BlueStacks, the world’s #1 Android emulator.
Greece TV & Radio is basically a hub for free Greek channels and radio stations, all streaming over the internet. It is simple to get around, pick a channel, and it starts playing without much fuss. There are ads, and there is no premium plan to remove them, so that is the tradeoff. The app does not host any content itself, it just pulls in free streams from the providers, which helps explain why a few channels sometimes blink offline or buffer depending on the source. Radio works nicely for background listening, and flipping between TV and radio feels quick enough.
On a PC with BlueStacks it feels better than on a phone because the bigger screen does the TV part justice, and using a mouse to hop through the list is easier. The built-in video player does the job, but there is also the option to hand off playback to an external player if that is preferred. Worth knowing that some channels are locked to Greece. If someone is outside the country, a vpn may be needed for those. There is no sign-up, no premium access, just free stuff, so expectations should match that. A quick check of the privacy policy before the first use would not hurt, and patience with a few ads is required.
Big screen. Bigger performance. Use BlueStacks on your PC or Mac to run your favorite apps.
