The original roguelike role-playing game Rogue with the Dead tasks players with leading and strengthening a group of soldiers through an infinitely repeating campaign.


Your objective is to travel 300 miles with a small army under your command and ultimately vanquish the Demon Lord. If you complete quests and defeat monsters, you’ll earn gold that can be used to upgrade your army. You can choose to do nothing while they fight automatically, or you can join the fight yourself.


Your soldiers will regenerate if you die, but you won’t. You’ll have to start from scratch after losing all of your troops, resources, and possessions (except artifacts). Collecting as many artifacts as possible will give you the best chance of defeating the game’s powerful bosses. Conquering them will net you additional loot.


Explore a fantastical world and experience the story behind it in stunning pixel art. You and your troops, led by Elly, will have a blast marching all the way to the castle of the Demon Lord. The events preceding your arrival will be revealed to you gradually, and Elly may know more than she’s letting on…
