Why limit yourself to your small screen on the phone? Run Panecal Plus, an app by Appsys, best experienced on your PC or Mac with BlueStacks, the world’s #1 Android emulator.
Panecal Plus feels like a straight up, no nonsense scientific calculator that is built for real work. It is the ad free version, so there is nothing popping up or blinking at you while doing a long formula. On a PC through BlueStacks, the layout breathes a bit more, and using the arrow keys to move the cursor through a formula is surprisingly nice. The big win is that it shows the whole expression as you type, then lets you hop back in to fix a sign or a number without redoing everything. You can scroll through what you entered, copy and paste parts, and see a history so mistakes get caught before they turn into wrong results.
It covers the usual scientific stuff, plus a lot of the extra bits engineers and students expect. Degrees, radians, or grads for angles. Float, fixed decimals, scientific, or engineering formats. Memory buttons for quick adds and subtracts, and six variable slots A to F so you can change one value and recalculate the lot. Switching between binary, octal, decimal, and hex up to 32 bits with clean radix conversion makes it handy for electronics or programming homework. Horizontal view works well on a monitor, the orange tap feedback is easy on the eyes, and there is a grouping separator option so long numbers do not blur together. It does not try to be cute, it just gets out of the way and lets the math happen.
Switch to BlueStacks and make the most of your apps on your PC or Mac.
