Melting Game’s first mobile game Ark Legends is set to launch worldwide with its global release just around the corner. Set in a fictional world of Arthuka continent, players will be able to experience mesmerizing and beautiful multi-colored biomes which is not expected from a top-down RPG. Having a good mix of features of both MMORPGs and turn-based RPGs, Ark Legends is ready to create a revolution among gamers who have long wanted a mix of both features. Although the graphics and art style of the game might look cartoonish, the gameplay and the animation effects easily rival the likes of popular games such as Summoners War: Sky Arena, Cookie Run Kingdom, etc. Ark Legends is currently available to be played only on Android as a free-to-play title in select countries. Players can download and install it from the Google Play Store as the game’s open beta no-wipe test has started.

Combining the features of different genres, Ark Legends has the advantage of offering different types of game modes to its players that are not seen in traditional RPGs. Firstly, the quest system itself is in a real-time full-fledged 3D animated world where players can see their protagonist’s character and move around the world, much like MMORPGs. The battle and combat sequences take place in a separate instance in a top-down automatic manner where players have little to no control over their heroes. In this article for Ark Legends, we will be providing some of our personally curated tips and tricks to make fast progression in the game. It does not whether you are a new player or a veteran player, using these tips and tricks to your current gameplay strategy will definitely provide you with some benefits. A core understanding of these mechanics is going to be beneficial for you in the long run. Some of these tips might be basic and you might be applying them unknowingly! Let’s get right to the tips.

Tip #1. Re-Rolling is your Friend

To re-roll means to continuously delete game data or create a new account to get a chance of obtaining your favorite heroes in the game. Rerolling is quite the standard process that is used by many players for the gacha games as many of these games do not offer a guaranteed way to give players their desired heroes. The trick is to make use of the different summoning currency that is thrown to players as part of the new player experience. Granted, re-rolling takes a lot of time as players need to continuously play the game from scratch for hours at the end just to get to the summoning part. We have a dedicated tier list for the best heroes in Ark Legends that every new player should aim to get if they are trying to re-roll. 

Players can collect their pre-registration rewards from their in-game mailbox. For players who are currently trying to re-roll, this process might be tougher for you since the game hasn’t launched globally yet and so the pre-registration rewards have not yet been sent to the players. However, that does not mean that players cannot re-roll at all. Many players still get up to 10 summons worth of currency that they can use on the starting beginners banner titled “The Ark Set Sail”. We recommend players to aim for at least 1 SS rated hero or at least 2 S Rated heroes through these 10 pulls. Keep in mind that rerolling is a time-consuming process as players need to complete the tutorial first in order to summon. The entire process can take up to 20 minutes for a single time. 

Tip #2. Empower your Heroes

If you ever feel like you’re stuck in any part of the game, a majority of the time the answer to your problem is to simply strengthen your heroes and give them some more stats. As we all know, games like Ark Legends are heavily based off the stats of your heroes. Be it the enemies or allies, each character on the battlefield has their own set of stats and skills. The stats of the heroes are empowered through different processes in the game such as leveling up, ascension, star up, and skill enhancement. A combination of all these processes is extremely important for players as they can advance through the initial content by simply brute forcing their way and speed clearing the main quests. A plethora of rewards are given to players along their journey as they make their way in the Arthuka continent. Most of these rewards are Experience potions of different sizes, equipment, etc. The game gives them to you as it knows players can progress only if their collected heroes are strong. 

Players can obtain many of these resources through in-game events and early-game quests. One of the best ways to get leveling potions is through the Experience dungeon which provides a different amount of potions the higher the player climbs in the dungeon. However, the daily limit to enter this dungeon is only 3 times. Many such time-gated entry limits can be found in almost all game modes related to a progression in Ark Legends. Hence, it is wise to start early in the current open beta to get more resources by the time the global launch happens.

Tip #3. Do not Forget the Side Quests

Many times we only mention the Main story quests of Ark Legends as it is required to advance through the game and unlock different game modes. However, this does not mean that players need to only focus on main quests. We would, in fact, recommend players to focus on the side quests after clearing Chapter 4 of the main story as the power level of enemies increases drastically in Chapter 5 of the main story stages. Players need extra resources to conquer stages ahead and farming the side quests is the perfect way to do so. For simplicity, we must say that the main story quests are the ones that is highlighted in yellow/golden color while the quests highlighted by blue color are called Side quests. Almost all villages/cities in Ark Legends have side quests of their own.

By clearing these side quest missions, players will be able to get more resources such as experience potions of different sizes, high-grade equipment, tons of gold, and also never forget the extra summoning currency in the form of Rare Iron Cores and Superior Iron Cores. Some side quests also reward the player with Diamonds as prizes. Most of the side quests are fairly simple to complete as players simply click on the quest and the game will automatically take you to the location of the quest. 

Tip #4. Hidden Stats that You Should Know About

Ark Legends is home to a host of different types of stats. Apart from the main stats such as Attack, Defense, and Health Points that we all know about, there are tons of other type of stats that are hidden to the majority of the players. These stats are still in effect during the battles and increasing them can significantly boost the amount of damage your heroes can output or increase their utility. Here are some of the unknown battle attributes that many players might not know about:

• Critical Hit Rate: The probability of triggering a critical hit with attacks.
• Critical Hit Resistance: The chance of resisting a critical hit strike.
• Critical Hit Damage: The extra damage dealt by critical hits
• Effect Accuracy: The chance of inflicting debuffs
• Effect Resistance: The chance of resisting debuffs
• SORA: The energy gained by heroes on the battlefield.
• Cumulative Attack Bonus: The total chance of gaining an Attack buff.
• Cumulative Defense Bonus: The total chance of gaining a Defense buff.
• Sigil Bonus – Attribute bonuses granted from equipping a hero with Sigils
• Element Bonus – Attribute bonuses granted from equipping a hero with Elemental cores
• Tech Tree Bonus – Attribute bonuses granted from activating Tech Trees in the Arena
• Talent Bonus – Attribute bonuses granted by activating Talents

Tip #5. Strategizing in Combat Scenarios

Many players who are coming to Ark Legends might understand how to play the game but do not know how to strategize effectively to win most of the matches. Each hero in Ark Legends is divided into different roles that they excel at and should be used for. Here are the 3 main roles in the game that every formation must have:

• DPS/Attacker – Attackers in Ark Legends are akin to many of those you see in MMORPGs. These heroes have an extremely high base Attack, Critical Hit Rate, and Critical Hit Damage. These heroes can be built with more attack and should be ideally behind your tanks to deal the most amount of damage without getting targeted by enemies.
• Tank/Defense – Tanks are the core of your team’s functioning as you should always have heroes who excel at taking damage. Tank-type heroes have massive HP pools, and high base defense, and can even mitigate incoming damage by a certain percentage depending on the hero to hero. A good tank automatically means more damage output as they act as frontlines for your team and protects your squishy damage dealers.
• Supports/Healers – Characters who have some of the highest HP pools and accuracy. A majority of these heroes are usually placed in the backline and provide heals/buffs to the team or debuffs to the enemies.
