Island Buildings

Constructing buildings is probably the most important part of playing games like Family Island — Farming game. Every structure on the island serves an important purpose and directly or indirectly link with the function of other buildings in the game. Constructing new buildings is also the hardest part of playing the game because it becomes harder to afford to put up more structures with the shortage of resources available on the island.

It’s important to note that players will be able to unlock new buildings as the game progresses with most of them serving a functional role in the development of the island but cosmetic structures and items are also available as the player levels up. Upgrading current buildings are also important as it allows the player to unlock more products that can be made. Being able to consistently construct new buildings without the fear of running out of materials is one of the primary goals that the players need to set.

Resources

There are two types of resources in Family Island — Farming game. These resources are important for the development of the island. Each resource type has a different source and it’s important for the player to understand how they can farm these resources when they play the game.

  • Raw Materials

Raw materials are the primary type of resource in Family Island — Farming game and are arguably the most important resources that they’ll need when playing the game. These can be acquired by clicking on resource nodes on the island such as trees, bushes, rocks, and items that wash up on the beach. If you’ve already started playing the game, some examples of raw materials include logs, stone, fiber, and plants harvested from the farm.

Most raw materials require energy to be harvested which limits the amount of these resources the player can harvest at a time. Since most Raw Materials are finite, it can be difficult for the player to gather them even if they had unlimited access to energy. This makes it difficult to create all the components and finished goods without properly managing the resources that you currently have in your possession.

  • Components & Finished Products

Components and finished products are the second type of resource. These can be acquired by producing them on specific structures and require raw materials or other components to manufacture. The game features a huge number of components and finished goods that can be manufactured at all times with each having a unique recipe that forces the player to rely on other structures to complete.

The difficult part about manufacturing components and finished products is that you rely on other components to complete them. This means that some items can begin a long chain of production that will require the player to wait for a longer period just to get a single item as compared to raw materials that are gathered instantly from a specific source. It is also important to note that production buildings have limited queue slots so players will have to wait for them to finish before starting another production.

Missions & Quests

Missions and quests are probably the only constants in a lot of video games nowadays with every game giving players specific tasks to do so that they don’t feel like they are aimlessly doing random stuff when playing the game. Family Island — Farming game has its own set of Missions and Quests that give the player a solid direction on what they need to do or build so that they continuously make progress when playing the game, even if they do so casually.

The importance of doing missions and quests doesn’t only lie in getting directions on what to do because these give a good amount of valuable resources, especially energy. In fact, the more missions you can complete during your playthrough, the longer you can play the game because it refreshes the amount of energy that you currently have. There are many types of missions such as the main mission, daily missions, and event missions that appear occasionally in the game.

Island Expansion

Island Expansion is another important task when playing Family Island — Farming game. As we already discussed previously, players need a ton of production buildings and farm plots to produce items that they’ll need when progressing through the game. To have access to multiple buildings, you’ll also need a lot of space so that you can place your structures on the island. Space becomes even more important if the player is working towards designing their island to be aesthetically pleasing.

Expansion is a simple task that can be done even without active focus. Simply clearing out the bushes, trees, and rocks around the island can free up a lot of space during the early stages of the game. Once you reach a certain point, players will have to complete specific tasks or spend specific resources to unlock a new area which will give them more space to construct larger buildings in the game.
