Our King’s Choice tips and tricks are best used for progressing faster and learning what to prioritize as a beginner. Utilize these tips to advance faster and expand your reign of control and dominance!
Tip #1. Re-Invest Resources to Progress Faster
One of the most vital lessons for any new lord is understanding the principle of compound interest. In King’s Choice, resources sitting in your bag are resources that are not working for you. Unless there is a specific ranking event starting in a few hours that requires you to hoard, you should strive to spend your silver, attribute books, and edicts as soon as you get them.

The sooner you invest silver into leveling up a knight, the higher your intellect attribute rises. A higher intellect attribute means you collect more silver from the Interior Ministry every few minutes. By spending your silver immediately, you increase your future income, which allows you to grow even faster. This snowball effect is the primary way top players stay ahead of the competition.
Tip #2. Cultivate Specialist Knights Instead of Generalists
A common mistake for beginners is trying to keep every knight at the same level. While it feels organized to have a balanced roster, it is actually highly inefficient. Because of the way knight attributes scale with both level and talent, you get a much better return on your investment by focusing on a few top-tier specialists. You should identify at least one knight for each of the four core attributes: Strength, Intellect, Leadership, and Charisma.

Concentrate your attribute-specific books and edicts on these designated specialists. For example, your top Strength knight should receive all the strength-boosting items to ensure they can win boss duels in the outpost. Your top Intellect knight will be the engine of your economy. By funneling your resources into a handful of elite knights rather than spreading them thin across thirty average ones, you will reach much higher state power milestones much faster.
Tip #3. Prioritize Leadership Experience in Internal Affairs
Every thirty minutes, new government concerns will pop up in your Interior Ministry. You will be presented with a choice between two options, usually a choice between a basic resource like grain or silver and Leadership EXP. Early on, it might be tempting to grab the silver to fund an upgrade, but you should almost always choose the Leadership EXP.

Leadership EXP is the only way to increase your Lord Level, which is the key that unlocks the rest of the game. Increasing your Lord Level expands your resource collection caps, unlocks new and more powerful knights, and gives you access to advanced gameplay features. Resources like grain and silver can be earned in a dozen different ways, but Leadership EXP is limited.
Tip #4. Focus on Clearing the Outpost Game Mode First!
The Outpost is where you test your military strength, but it is also a place where you can waste a lot of soldiers if you are not careful. Before you commit to a stage, look at the disparity between your total Strength and the enemy’s strength. If the gap is too narrow, your casualty rate will be high, and you will find yourself running out of soldiers before you can finish the chapter.

If you find that your losses are becoming too heavy, stop the campaign. Go back to your knights, level up your Strength specialists, and use any Strength edicts you have. Once you have widened the gap in power, return to the Outpost. You will find that you lose significantly fewer soldiers, allowing you to push further with the same amount of grain.
Tip #5. Sync Your Lovers and Knights for Massive Bonuses
The relationship between your lovers and your knights is one of the most powerful synergies in King’s Choice. Each lover is linked to a specific knight. When you visit your lovers and earn Lover Power Points, you can spend those points to unlock and upgrade bonuses that specifically buff their linked knight.

Some of these bonuses are flat additions, but the most powerful ones are percentage-based multipliers. For example, a late-game lover bonus might increase a knight’s strength by 10 percent. If that knight is already high level and has high talent, a 10 percent boost can mean millions of points in state power. This is why you should focus your intimacy items on the lovers who are linked to your top specialist knights.
