Peashooters are some of the most recognisable plants in Plants vs. Zombies 2. While they all attack zombies by firing peas, each variant has a different ability. Some deal heavy damage, others slow zombies down, and a few can attack multiple enemies at once.

But which Peashooters are actually worth using? This tier list groups all 16 Peashooter-family plants into five tiers, from S (the best) to D (the weakest). The ranking considers their damage, special abilities, and usefulness in different levels.

S Tier – The Best Peashooters

These plants offer excellent damage or powerful abilities that can make a big difference in difficult levels.

  • Pea Vine

Pea Vine takes the top spot because it boosts the damage of other plants when planted on the same tile. This makes it especially useful when paired with powerful attackers. It helps your entire team deal more damage rather than relying only on its own attacks.

  • Mega Gatling Pea

blog-image-PVZ_TL_ENG02

Mega Gatling Pea fires a large number of peas very quickly, making it one of the strongest direct attackers. Its Plant Food ability makes its attack even more powerful. Its high sun cost is the main drawback, but the damage makes it worth considering.

  • Shadow Peashooter

Shadow Peashooter is a strong attacker that becomes even more useful when paired with Moonflower and other Shadow plants. It can damage multiple zombies and offers extra attacking power with the right support.

  • Primal Peashooter

Primal Peashooter fires powerful peas that can push zombies backwards and sometimes stun them. This gives your other plants more time to attack and makes it especially useful against tough enemies.

A Tier – Strong and Reliable Peashooters

These plants are excellent choices for many levels. They may not be as powerful or versatile as S-tier plants, but they offer useful abilities.

  • Electric Peashooter

Electric Peashooter uses electrical attacks that can hit multiple zombies. It is particularly useful when several enemies are moving together and you need to damage a group at once.

  • Snap Pea

Snap Pea can attack nearby zombies and swallow certain enemies. This gives it an advantage over plants that only fire peas from a distance. Its special ability can help remove dangerous zombies from the lawn.

  • Goo Peashooter

Goo Peashooter fires sticky peas that slow zombies down. This gives your other plants more time to attack before enemies reach your defences.

  • Snow Pea

Snow Pea fires icy peas that slow zombies down. It is particularly useful against fast-moving enemies and helps your other plants deal with approaching waves.

B Tier – Good but Situational Peashooters

These plants can be useful, but their abilities or attacking styles make them less suitable for every level.

  • Fire Peashooter

Fire Peashooter attacks zombies with fire-based projectiles. It deals more damage than a basic Peashooter and can help warm nearby plants affected by freezing. It is particularly useful in levels with cold weather or freezing zombies.

  • Pea Pod

blog-image-PVZ_TL_ENG10

Pea Pod becomes stronger when you plant more pods on the same tile. Each additional pod increases the number of peas it fires. However, it needs time and sun to reach its full potential.

  • Threepeater

blog-image-PVZ_TL_ENG11

Threepeater attacks zombies in three lanes at once. This helps defend multiple rows, but its 300-sun cost makes it an expensive choice.

  • Sling Pea

Sling Pea throws peas in an arc instead of firing them straight ahead. It offers a different attacking style, but its usefulness depends on the level and the zombies you are facing.

Which Peashooter Tier Should You Choose?

If you want the strongest options, start with S-tier plants. Pea Vine is excellent for boosting your team’s damage, Mega Gatling Pea is great for heavy attacks, and Primal Peashooter helps control approaching zombies.

A-tier plants are also worth using, especially when you need to slow down enemies or attack groups. B-tier plants can fill specific roles, while C- and D-tier plants are generally better suited to early-game progress or particular situations.

Remember that this is an overall ranking. The best Peashooter for your team will depend on the level, zombie types, and plants you have unlocked. Play Plants vs. Zombies 2 on PC with BlueStacks and defend your lawn against the zombie invasion.
