RAID: Shadow Legends – Ultimate Deathknight Champion Guide

Ultimate Deathknight is a new legendary grade force affinity champion from the Undead Hordes. He is a Defense based champion which means all of his skills and abilities scales with his Defense stat. Ultimate Deathknight is still very much new to the game coming with his own exclusive event as a free champion. Much testing is yet to be done throughout but for what the community feels about the champion, he is definitely a great tank for your team, especially for early-mid game players that do not have access to some of the best champions in the game yet. Ultimate Deathknight’s showcase trailer can be seen on the game’s official social media handles as well which previews its skills and abilities live in a test combat situation. The best thing about Ultimate Deathknight might be its less dependence on legendary books. The legendary books are highly scarce, even more for a new player that is just entering the game. Legendary champions are only valuable if they are easy to build and skill up for a new player.

RAID: Shadow Legends – Ultimate Deathknight Champion Guide

It seems Ultimate Deathknight fixes just right in that role. We can already see many players using Ultimate Deathknight in different PvE dungeons like Dragons, Fire Knights, Ice Golem Dungeon, and Minotaur’s Labyrinth. In this guide for Ultimate Deathknight, we will be focusing a lot on his skills and abilities. We will also be listing the best build recommendations, mastery recommendations, and team recommendations for different content. Let’s take a more in-depth look at his skill set.

Ultimate Deathknight Champion Skills

Ultimate Deathknight, the legendary grade champion whose grudge with the other legendary grade champions has turned into his strength. He is the first champion who is going to be doing additional effects with his abilities against legendary champions. Ultimate Deathknight is a defense-based champion that scales according to his defense. His base stats sit at a very high 1421 Defense and an average base HP of 20,640. Ultimate deathknight’s damage multipliers and damage ratios are quite bad, not making him viable as a Defense based attacker. However, this makes him extremely valuable as a Tanky Bruiser that can provide some massive Shields and buffs for your team. Ultimate Deathknight’s 3rd skill Get Comfy Everyone can go on as low of a cooldown as 3 turns. The Shields provided scale according to his Defense which generally provides more value than HP-based Shields. Ultimate Deathknight rightfully competes with the likes of Deliana and Ninja, 2 more free legendary champions that were given by Plarium to attract new players to the game.

Ultimate Deathknight Artifact and Stat Recommendations

Ultimate Deathknight is most certainly one of the new best tanks to add to your team if you haven’t and just started out your journey in RAID: Shadow Legends. Apart from having the ability to soak huge amounts of damage, Ultimate Deathknight also increases the sustainability for your team with his big fat Shields and heals. We highly recommend building Ultimate Deathknight for PvE content first and PvP content second as his utility seems to be desirable more for PvE game modes like the Doom Tower, Clan Boss, Dungeons, and Campaign stages. Feel free to take pleasure in testing out different builds to understand what fits your needs.

Ultimate Deathknight Team Building and Synergies

Ultimate Deathknight acts like a sturdy and tanky champion for your team. By himself, he can even solo the Dragon and Ice Golem dungeons with the right gear and substats. He is a powerful tank that can fit in almost any general team to soak up some damage. He is especially useful with heroes like Siphi the Bride and Rector Drath who can continuously heal all allies and provide stealth buff. His provokes are extremely useful in the Magma Dragon boss of the Doom Tower where he can protect the squishy carries to be targeted. His usage in the Doom Tower’s Scarab King boss is also quite good with the bulky Shields that he provides with his 3rd ability. Here are some general team compositions we feel he fits in quite well:

  1. Ultimate Deathknight + Countess Lix + Raglin + Ma’Shalled (Best Possible team)
  2. Ultimate Deathknight + Ninja + Rector Darth + Apothecary + Kael (Good dungeon team)
  3. Ultimate Deathknight + Siphi the Bride + Raglin + Krisk the Ageless (Tanky Bruiser Arena Team)
  4. Ultimate Deathknight + Lydia + Gorgorab + Tormin (Debuff Heavy Team)
