StarSavior is celebrating its half-year anniversary after being launched at the end of 2025. This turn-based RPG has captivated players globally, thanks to its shared similarities with games like Epic Seven, Honkai: Star Rail, and more. In Star Savior, the gear system plays a crucial role in shaping the combat power of your owned heroes. By equipping the right gear, players can make or break any hero. But the gear system is quite complex for beginners to master. And, that’s where our Star Savior gear guide comes into play. Learn how to build each type of character the right way below!

Equipment Tiers in Star Savior

Before we talk about sets or stats, you need to understand the two tier system Star Savior runs on. This is the single most important thing to internalize because messing this up will drain your resources faster than a gacha banner drains your wallet.

Tier 1 gear is what you get from the very beginning. It is totally fine for clearing early Mainstream stages, but here is the golden rule. Do not over invest in Tier 1.

Tier 2 gear unlocks when you clear Mainstream Stage 14. This is the tier that endgame content is balanced around. Once you unlock Tier 2 crafting, shift your focus immediately. Your enhancement stones, your imprint materials, and your hard earned gold should all start flowing into Tier 2 gear for your core four Saviors. Think of Tier 1 as a starter apartment. It gets the job done, but you should not renovate the kitchen. Tier 2 is your forever home. That is where you invest.

Tier Description Investment Strategy
Tier 1 Gear obtained at the very beginning Do not over invest
Tier 2 Unlocks at Mainstream Stage 14 Focus endgame resources here

Equipment Slots and Stats Explained

Star Savior has six equipment slots. Most slots have fixed main stats, which means less randomness.

Slot Main Stat Priority
Weapon ATK for DPS or HP/DEF for Tank/Support
Armor/Gloves ATK percent or DEF percent/HP percent
Shoes Speed is non negotiable
Necklace Speed is non negotiable
Ring ATK percent for DPS or HP percent for Tank/Support

Speed is king. In a turn based game, more speed means more turns, more shields, and more debuffs. If you ever get an Equipment Selection Box, always grab a Speed Necklace first.

Best Gear Sets in Star Savior: What to Farm and Why

Realistically, you will rotate between three main sets for most of your progression. The farming priority is Motivator, then Wendigo, then Perseus.

  • Motivator Set: Best for early game and Attack focused Saviors in mid game. It is the Attack percent set and the safest universal investment.
  • Insight Set: Best for damage dealers like Strikers, Casters, and Assassins. It gives Crit Rate and Crit DMG synergy.
  • Perseus Set: Best for high Crit Rate DPS and tanks/supports running HP or Barrier sets.
Set Bonus Best For
Motivator ATK percent +20 percent Early game / Attackers
Insight CRIT Rate +30 percent Damage Dealers
Perseus HP percent +30 percent / CRIT DMG +40 percent Tanks / High Crit DPS

Equipment Enhancement: Thresholds and Priorities

Enhancement is where most of your resources go. Substats increase every 3 levels at +3, +6, +9, +12, and +15.

Slot T1 Enhancement Target T2 Enhancement Target
Weapon, Gloves, Armor +3 to +6 only +9 or higher
Shoes +9 to +15 if Speed +15 max priority
Necklace +9 to +15 if Speed +15 max priority
Ring +9 to +15 if ATK percent/HP percent +15 for core carries

Never take T1 Weapon, Gloves, or Armor past +6. The stat gains are not worth the material cost. Main stats get you in the door, but substats determine how far you go. Here is

  • For DPS: Crit Rate then Crit DMG then ATK percent then Speed.
  • For Tanks: HP percent then DEF percent then Effect RES then Speed.
  • For Supports: HP percent then Speed then Effect ACC then DEF percent.

Imprinting and Fixing Gear

The Imprint system lets you extract a substat from one piece of gear and put it onto another. It is your fix it button for pieces that are almost perfect. Only imprint Tier 2 gear with good main stats and mostly correct substats. Use imprints to fill critical gaps, like adding Speed to an otherwise perfect damage dealer necklace. Do not waste imprints on Tier 1 gear because it is getting replaced anyway. Prioritize imprinting Speed Necklaces and Shoes first.

Commons Mistakes to Avoid While Gearing Heroes

Here is a list of some common mistakes many players might be making when gearing their Star Savior characters:

  • Over enhancing T1 gear. Save materials for T2.
  • Ignoring Speed on Shoes and Necklace. Speed is non-negotiable.
  • Farming the wrong Subjugation nodes. Finish Motivator sets first.
  • Skipping set bonuses for slightly better individual stats. Synergy wins.
  • Using Selection Boxes on non Speed Necklaces. They are the rarest items.

Players can enjoy playing Star Savior on a bigger screen of their PC or Laptop via BlueStacks along with your keyboard and mouse.
