Warframe Tier List 2026 Best Warframes Ranked for Update 44

Warframe now has 66 Warframes, and they do not all pull the same weight in Steel Path or endgame missions. This Warframe tier list ranks every frame as of writing. See the best frames after Update 44: Iceblade of Narin added Narin, a full Banshee rework, Citrine Prime, and the new six player Icebind mode. Find out which frames deserve the first Forma below!

S Tier Frames
Let’s take a look at all of the frames in this tier:
Wisp

Wisp is still the most useful support frame in Warframe. Her Reservoirs drop motes that boost squad health, speed up movement and fire rate, or shock nearby enemies, and her passive turns her invisible while airborne. Breach Surge adds crowd control, while Sol Gate gives her a strong damage beam of her own.
She fits into any team, works just as well solo, and is easy to pick up for newer players. Ability Strength and Duration are the stats to focus on. Wisp Prime offers the same kit with better base stats for players ready to invest more.
Saryn

Saryn has held a top spot for years, and nothing in Update 44 changed that. Spores latch onto enemies and spread to nearby targets as they die, so her damage keeps growing in crowded rooms. Miasma adds a burst of damage on top, and Toxic Lash powers up her weapons.
She is the go to frame for Elite Sanctuary Onslaught, affinity farming, and Steel Path Exterminate runs. Range and Strength builds work best. Her rotation takes some practice, but once Spores start spreading, very few frames clear a map faster.
Dante

Dante casts his abilities like chapters of a story. Light Verse gives him and nearby allies Overguard and restores their health, while Dark Verse hits nearby enemies with Slash damage. Final Verse changes based on the two Verses before it, with two Light Verses triggering Triumph and two Dark Verses unleashing Tragedy.
This mix of Overguard, healing, and damage makes Dante one of the safest picks for Netracells, Archon Hunts, and Steel Path. Light Verse and Triumph also make him invulnerable while casting, which saves him in tight spots. Any squad gets stronger with Dante in it.
Mesa

Mesa is the easiest high damage frame in the game. Peacemaker turns her pistols into an auto aiming turret that shreds every enemy in front of her, and Shatter Shield cuts down incoming bullet damage by a huge amount so she can hold her ground.
She shines in Defense missions, the Index, and any mode where enemies come in waves. Mesa Prime has the same kit with stronger stats, and the new Mesa Heirloom collection gives fashion fans another reason to main her.
Octavia

Octavia is a music themed frame who brings damage, buffs, and safety at the same time. Mallet pulls enemy fire and turns that damage into area damage, Resonator charms enemies into following it around, and Metronome grants buffs like invisibility when players move to the beat.
With a Duration build, Octavia can stay invisible for long stretches while Mallet does the work. That makes her one of the best picks for long Survival runs and endurance farming. Octavia Prime is a solid upgrade for players who main her.
Uriel

Uriel, the Heretic of Xata, fights with three demon summons at his back. Infernalis wraps him in a Heat aura and lets him take flight as a flaming meteor, Remedium heals him and revives his demons, and Demonium sends demon souls to explode on enemies and make them take more damage. Brimstone creates a growing ring of fire that hits harder with every hit.
His kit covers damage, sustain, and crowd control on its own, which is why community votes keep him in S tier. Update 44 also added the Infernum augment, which releases fireballs during his flight and slowly charges Brimstone with every hit.
Nokko

Nokko is a young mushroom frame who climbed into S tier in 2026. Stinkbrain throws a mushroom that spreads Viral damage and puts enemies to sleep, Brightbonnet gives the squad Energy and an Ability Strength buff, and Sporespring launches a bouncing mushroom that seeks out enemies and explodes on contact.
Reroot is his safety button. Nokko shrinks back into his Sprodling form, becomes untargetable, and heals while spawning orbs that grant a speed boost. His passive also rewards staying close to his mushrooms, so smart placement keeps him alive even in Steel Path.
A Tier Frames
Let’s take a look at all of the frames in this tier:
Revenant

Revenant is one of the hardest frames in the game to kill. Mesmer Skin gives him charges that block incoming damage and stun the enemies who hit him, and Reave refills those charges while draining foes. Danse Macabre adds a spinning beam for solid damage.
He sits just below S tier because his room clearing cannot match the top damage dealers, but nobody is better at simply refusing to die. For Arbitrations, long solo runs, and Steel Path endurance, Revenant and Revenant Prime are still elite.
Kullervo

Kullervo is the top pick for melee fans. Wrathful Advance teleports him straight onto a target, and Collective Curse links a group of enemies so damage dealt to one is shared with the rest.
With strong melee weapons and mods, he deals some of the highest single target damage in the game. Some players rank him in S tier, but he needs more Forma and better melee gear than the frames above him to reach that level.
Khora

Khora controls fights with her whip and her Kavat companion, Venari. Whipclaw hits a wide area with heavy damage, Ensnare ties enemies together, and Strangledome traps a whole group inside a cage of chains.
With the Pilfering Strangledome augment, enemies caught in the dome drop extra loot, which makes Khora one of the best farming frames in the game. She works best when holding one spot, so Defense and Survival suit her more than fast missions.
Citrine

Citrine is a crystal support frame, and Citrine Prime arrived through Prime Access on September 23. Prismatic Gem fires beams that apply Heat, Cold, Toxin, and Electricity status while raising Status Chance and Status Duration for nearby allies. Crystallize traps enemies in crystal growths that take critical damage when shot, and Preserving Shell guards the squad.
Fractured Blast makes enemies drop more Health and Energy Orbs, which also feeds her healing passive. Citrine Prime adds more Armor and Energy, and she can be earned for free by cracking Void Relics. She is a great fit for status focused teams.
Narin

Narin is the newest Warframe and the first ice frame since Frost. Neote lunges forward with her rapier for Cold and Puncture damage, Naraemagi absorbs Cold status from nearby enemies to refill her Shields and grant Overguard, and Hakchum leaps into the air and lands with a blast that makes enemies weak to Cold. Every hit builds Ice for Nurinarim, a sword dance that strips Armor and Shields and makes frozen enemies explode.
Her passive drops Sangodae pickups that add Cold damage to her guns. Hotfix 44.0.3 already buffed Nurinarim with a longer 20 second duration and free attacks on marked targets. A tier is an early read, and she could climb once players finish testing her. Her blueprints come from Cephalon Melica at Yuvan’s Peak in exchange for Entropic Kuva.
Banshee

Banshee is the biggest winner of Update 44. Sonic Boom now strips 70% of enemy Armor, rising up to 100% with Ability Strength. Sonar’s weak spots now count as true Weak Points, so they work with Weak Point mods and Arcanes. Sound Quake is no longer channeled and instead creates a 25 second zone that inflicts Blast status.
Her new passive applies max Puncture status to foes within 10 meters whenever she casts, and none of her abilities root her in place anymore. She has jumped from near the bottom of most lists to A tier, though players are still settling on her best builds.
B Tier Frames
Let’s take a look at all of the frames in this tier:
Sirius & Orion

Sirius & Orion are two brothers sharing one Warframe, and players swap between them in combat. Sirius brings Heat damage, Jade Stars, and Light’s Sanctuary, a well that heals and revives allies. Orion uses Gravitic Slash to strip Armor and Shields, drops a decoy shell, and pulls enemies into a drifting black hole with Event Horizon.
Casting abilities builds Constellation Stars for Celestial Clash, their shared ultimate. The kit is strong but asks a lot from the player, so opinions are split and they sit in B tier for now. Update 44 also made them available in Duviri. Their parts drop from the Kuva Wytch and Scoria’s Angel Railjack missions.
Excalibur

Excalibur is one of the three starter frames and still the safest first pick. Slash Dash closes gaps, Radial Blind stuns groups of enemies, and Exalted Blade summons a sword that fires energy waves.
He falls behind newer frames in Steel Path, but he teaches the basics of Warframe better than anyone. With good mods and an Exalted Blade build, he still handles most of the Star Chart with ease.
Frost

Frost is the classic defense frame. Snow Globe creates a dome that blocks incoming fire, while Freeze, Ice Wave, and Avalanche hit enemies with Cold damage and lock groups in place.
Update 44 added the Cold Front augment, which attaches Snow Globe to Frost with a smaller radius and boosts his mobility. Kills on frozen enemies make the globe tougher, and the mod can go in the Exilus slot. Frost remains a reliable pick for Defense and Mobile Defense missions.
Hydroid

Hydroid is a pirate themed frame known mostly for farming. With the Pilfering Swarm augment, enemies killed by his Tentacle Swarm drop extra loot, which puts him next to Khora and Nekros as a classic loot frame.
Update 44 swapped his Shield and Armor values to match his health focused kit. Base Hydroid now has 365 Armor, and Hydroid Prime jumped from 290 to 650 Armor, which makes him much sturdier in higher level missions.
Warframe Best Warframes by Role: DPS, Support, Tank, and Farming
- Best DPS: Saryn for crowded rooms, Mesa for wave missions, and Uriel or Nokko for damage with built in safety
- Best Support: Wisp and Dante for any squad, plus Citrine for status heavy teams
- Best Tank: Revenant for pure survival and Rhino for newer players
- Best Farming: Khora, Nekros, and Hydroid for extra loot, with Octavia for long Survival runs
- Best for Beginners: Excalibur to start, then Rhino from the Jackal boss on Venus
- Best for The Icebind: Build two or three S and A tier frames, since a squad cannot bring duplicate Warframes
Players can enjoy Warframe on a bigger screen of their PC or laptop via BlueStacks, with Shooting Mode bringing smooth keyboard and mouse aiming to every mission.
