Among us is one of the earliest video games providing a serious yet humorous game style and the fact that there was no violence, millions of players all over the world immediately became fans. In order to enhance the user experience, the game Among Us is now releasing its December 2022 update, which will contain a variety of new features, such as a Hide and Seek mode and new cosmetics.

The following are the new features being released in the December 2022 update:

Hide and Seek Mode

Players must complete chores to shorten the time left so that they can win. The impostor wants to eliminate all of the crewmates. Crew members must make use of their few available vents to dodge the Impostor. When the Final Hide is activated, the Impostor can find the crewmates by using the Seeker map and pings that reveal crewmate’s whereabouts. There are two game modes players can participate in: Classic or Hide and Seek, from the Game Type menu.

To view a list of available lobbies, you must choose at least one filter.

Currently, there are 4 filters. It is recommended to use the beginner filter if you are starting out.

• Beginner: Best for players just starting out.
• Casual: Best for people who just want to have fun and aren’t very serious about the game.
• Serious: Ideal for those that want to win and take their game more seriously.
• Expert: For players who are familiar with Among Us.To view a list of available lobbies, you must choose at least one filter.

Final Hide

Once the Hide Time is up, the Final Hide happens. The Impostor needs some assistance from the remaining Crewmates to capture them during these final seconds when the screen flashes red. The Impostors and Crewmates should play the game during this final hide period as follows:

• Impostor:

  • Ping system: Crewmates will occasionally see red “pings” that resemble circles over them, letting them know where they are in relation to the Impostor. After a ping, you’d better flee quickly or try to mislead the Impostor by hiding!
  • Faster Impostor: To help them pursue the surviving Crewmates, Impostors have a significant speed increase. Must move quickly.
  • Seek map: Impostors receive a new Seek map that shows where the remaining Crewmates are located in general.

• Crewmates

  • Players must do their best to escape, stay alive, hide, and evade the Impostor.
  • Players notice a red “ping” circle over you every few seconds, which the Impostor can use to locate you.

New Cosmetics

For both the Crewmates and Impostors, some winter holiday-themed goods are now accessible by the players. Along with a brand-new Gift Cube Cosmicube, two Snowflake and Snowbean Cosmicubes are now available.

The Gift Cube Cosmicube and the Snowbean and Snowflake Cosmicube will both remain on sale until January 1, 2023, respectively. A special Benoit Blanc cosmetic from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is also set to release on Monday, December 13th. Players must sign up for Among Us before January 10th to get access to the detective makeup.
