Arknights – New Operators Shining, Pallas, Asbestos, Kafka, and Akafuyu Featured on April Headhunting Banner
A set of new and returning 6-Star and 5-Star operators can be seen coming to Arknights with the new standard headhunting banner. Arknights is available to be downloaded and installed as a free-to-play game on both the Google Play Store and iOS App Store with in-game microtransactions enabled.

The new headhunting banners features 5 new operators – Shining, Pallas, Akafuyu, Kafka, and Asbestos. Shining and Pallas are recommended to pull unless you are saving for the new operator coming with the collaboration with The Legend Luo Xiaohei. Players will be able to recruit the new operators via the headhunting banner. Let’s take a look at the skills and abilities of the operators being added to Arknights.
Shining is a 6-Star operator that is classified as a Medic type in-game. She has a base Attack of 180, HP of 854, and a Defense of 60. Her base Attack, Defense, and HP are comparatively balanced compared to other operators.
Shining is a ranged damage dealer that heals allies with her basic attack. Her description reads the following – “An ex-member of the Kazdelian Confessarii and the leader of the Followers alongside Margaret Nearl and Liz, Shining the Sarkaz healer has laid down her arms in response to the Confessarii’s support to the ultra-nationalistic regent of Kazdel, Theresis, and her opposition against their gruesome Arts experiment onto Liz where they transplanted someone’s mind onto her body. Following her escape from the organization, Shining and the Follower duo had been wandering around to treat the Infected regardless of background until their incorporation into Rhodes Island. Being a respectful doctor, Shining has earned the other R.I. personnel’s respect and admiration for her empathy, dedication, and passion even in the middle of the battlefield. If forced, she could unsheathe her sword which rumor says that its Arts could literally slice one’s soul.”

Thoughtfulness – When this Operator is assigned to a Dormitory, restores +0.55 Morale per hour to another Operator assigned to that Dormitory whose Morale is not full (Only the strongest effect of this type takes place)
Mercy – When this Operator is assigned to a Dormitory, restores +0.75 Morale per hour to another Operator assigned to that Dormitory whose Morale is not full (Only the strongest effect of this type takes place)
Pallas is a 6-Star operator that is classified as a Guard type in-game. She has a base Attack of 302, HP of 794, and a Defense of 213. Pallas has average HP and Attack compared to other Snipers of similar rarity.
Pallas is a melee ranged damage dealer that deals physical damage with her basic attacks. Her description reads the following – “Hailing from the frontier village of Akroti in Minos, Pallas is a priestess of the Minoan hero cult revered by the locals as the “Goddess of Victory and Wisdom” for her role in leading them in a border skirmish against the invading Sargonian tribes. However, Pallas suffers from Oripathy for a while and hides her condition to avoid persecution from the others. In fact, the reason she lives in Akroti is because of that; Pallas originally lives in the bustling city of Athenius who was forced to leave there under her parents’ arrangement after becoming Infected. She later contacted Rhodes Island for further treatment and also aided R.I. in taking part in the most recent Hymnoi Wisdom festival.”

Strikes of Victory (Passive Ability): The next attack deals 110% of ATK as Physical damage and attacks twice consecutively
Whip of Conviction: Attack Range +1 tile, ATK +20% and every attack has 50% chance to Stun the target for 0.2 seconds
Blessing of Heroism – ATK +40% and attacks two additional targets. If there is an allied Melee Operator in the tile ahead, grant them the following effects: Gain Vigor effect of +30% ATK when HP is above 80%, DEF +15%, Block +1 (If there are no Operators or they are not Melee, grant the effect to self instead)

Birth of a Hero (1st Talent) – When deployed, all ‘Minoan’ Operators gain Vigor effect of +15% ATK when HP is above 80%
Goddess Inspiration (2nd Talent) – Every hit against an enemy restores 40 HP to Pallas and the allied Operator in the tile ahead

Asbestos is a 5-Star operator that is classified as a Defender type in-game. She has a base Attack of 265, HP of 1252, and a Defense of 223. Asbestos is a melee damage absorber that deals physical damage with her basic skills.
Her description reads the following – “One of Rim Billiton’s more famous explorers. Asbestos was recommended to Rhodes Island for treatment by Operator Magallan, and signed an agreement to become an operator after negotiation. After professional training, she uses a large shield that she personally modified to protect other operators on the front lines.”

Resilient Mode – Dodges the next instance of Arts damage, and reduces Arts damage taken by -10% during the skill duration
Thermal Power Mode – Attack Interval increases, ATK +30%, DEF +25%, Attack Range expands, and normal attacks now deal AoE damage. This Skill modifies the Attack Interval by 0.4.

Moist Skin (1st Talent) – RES +5, restores 1 SP when hit by an enemy’s normal Arts attack

Kafka is a 5-Star operator that is classified as a Specialist type in-game. She has a base Attack of 202, an HP of 783, and a Defense of 140. Kafka is a melee ranged damage dealer that deals physical damage to enemies with her basic skill.
Her description reads the following – “The mischievous Kafka is both an acquaintance of Dr. Olivia Silence and an orphan from Columbia who can be mistaken to be a child. By day, she worked as a gardener and by night, she became a gangster wandering around different factions. Thanks to her experience in dealing with gray zones and the underground world, Kafka became Silence’s candidate to infiltrate Mansfield State Prison and plot a daring jailbreak for Anthony Simon. Despite the difficulties, Kafka’s mission was a success.
After the jailbreak, Silence found out that Kafka is suffering from Oripathy and has been keeping it all the time. Through her “persuasion,” Kafka was brought under Rhodes Island’s care and has since been lending her service to R.I. as a covert operations specialist who utilizes her quick acumen to catch her enemies off-guard.”

Cube of Absurdism: After deployment, stops attacking for 5 seconds, and at the same time puts all surrounding ground enemies to Sleep. When the skill ends, deals 250% ATK as Arts damage to all surrounding ground enemies
Shears of Surrealism: After deployment, immediately deals 200% ATK as Arts damage to all enemies within the frontal target tile; For the next 10 seconds, continuously attacks ground units in that target tile with Arts damage

Handicrafts Alpha – When this Operator is assigned to a Trading Post, the chance of getting higher-yield Precious Metal orders is increased slightly (rate is influenced by length of work time), and Morale consumed per hour is reduced by -0.25
Handicrafts Beta – When this Operator is assigned to a Trading Post, the chance of getting higher-yield Precious Metal orders is increased (rate is influenced by length of work time), and Morale consumed per hour is reduced by -0.25
Akafuyu is a 5-Star operator that is classified as a Guard type in-game. She has a base Attack of 325, an HP of 1491, and a Defense of 157. Akafuyu is a melee damage dealer that deals physical damage to enemies with her basic skill.
Her description reads the following – “Akafuyu, a swordsman from Higashi, is the successor of the Nobukage-ryu Iai-suemonogiri Kenpou. Aside from her mastery of traditional swordsmanship, she also possesses excellent modern combat and tactical abilities. Given how distinctively extraordinary she is as an individual, it will take some time for her to familiarize herself with Rhodes Island’s combat style.”
