Introduction of New Character: Tatsuya

The OB36 update came with the introduction of Shirou’s 16-year-old brother, Tatsuya –

  • Tatsuya’s ability allows him to dash forward for 0.2/0.2/0.2/0.3/0.3/0.3 seconds, depending on her power. 
  • His sprint reload duration is reduced by 175/160/150/140/130/120 seconds.
  • The ability can be stacked for two successive uses with a 5-second cooldown.

  • His ability creates a 3.5-meter-diameter healing zone within which he and his teammates can regain 3-5 HP every second. Allies who are knocked down can use the healing area to stand back up.
  • Duration – 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 seconds.
  • Waiting Time – 85,80,75,70,65,60 seconds.

D-Good

  • Increase in movement speed – 10, 12, 14, 16, or 20%.
  • Increase in accuracy – 20, 23, 27, 32, 38, 45%.
  • Increase in movement speed when shooting – 35, 38, 42, 47, 53, 60%.

Nairi

  • Her Steel Gel recovers 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, and 60% of existing durability per second.

Free Fire OB36: New Map

The update introduces a new map called NeXTerra, now available in both ranked and casual play. It features unique interactions, and the following are the zones available on the map –

  • University
  • Mangrove
  • Deca Gallery
  • Museum
  • Planetary
  • Old City
  • Little farm

The Little Farm’s second-level carousel and mobile platform have been turned on in this version.

Free Fire OB36: Icebreaker Grenade

Players can use it to knock down the defences of their rivals. The grenade will produce a circular field around the target after it explodes. Within that circle, Gel Walls will sustain 150 damage for 12 seconds. Walls of Gel within the corrosive area suffer double damage from weapon attacks while the grenade is in effect.

Addition of various new accessories 

  • Shotgun Stock: It has the same accuracy as a level 3 stock and slows down the reloading and switching between weapons by 0.1 -> 0.2 seconds.
  • Shotgun Butt: This item enhances fire rate by 7% and aim speed by 10%, improving accuracy compared to a level 3 grip.
  • Sniper Rifle Stock: This accessory enhances fire rate by 7% and aim speed by 10%, improving accuracy compared to a level 3 stock.

Introduction of a new weapon: Treatment Laser Weapon

Treatment Laser Weapon is the new weapon added to Free Fire in the OB36 update and has the following characteristics:

  • Heal per shot: 10
  • Fire rate: 0.12
  • Range: 20m

Free Fire OB36 Update: Miscellaneous Changes

The OB36 Update consists of various other changes, and we have listed some of them down below –

  • A system for weapon upgrades has been introduced for guns such as MP5, FAMAS, M60, M4A1, SCAR, etc.
  • Players can now interact and plan with their team directly from the Team Skill Combination View.
  • For each streak of three wins, a victory streak badge will be given, which will be displayed in locations such as Team Lobby, Match Result, and Score in-game.
  • The turn point mechanism has been adjusted.
  • Players can now earn permanent weapon skins by collecting limited editions.
  • Various game optimization changes provide enhanced teamwork contribution, information display, and in-game navigation.
  • Rank protection cards are now available for Contra Squad and Battle Royale with an expiry date.
  • Teams now have rank limits, preventing players who don’t live up to expectations from joining you in rated games.
  • Lifting, healing, and reviving allies contribute to the final score in ranked BR and CS games.
  • Team Bonus and Partnership Store have been introduced.
  • Various changes to the weapons in Free Fire balance out the game mechanics.
  • Introduction of new default HUD.
  • Introduction of a soccer field on Ilha do Rolê where players can demonstrate their athletic abilities.
