PJ Masks: Racing Heroes is a fun, easygoing racing game where you get to play as Catboy, Owlette, or Gekko and zip around the moon, picking up glowing crystals and trying to stop sneaky villains like Luna Girl and Romeo. The racing mostly happens on these lunar tracks full of neat obstacles, some tricky jumps, and all sorts of things that’ll slow you down if you’re not careful—like moonfizzle balls or Romeo’s shrink ray popping up out of nowhere. There’s a bunch of levels (well over thirty), and each one switches up the layout and the types of challenges you run into, so it doesn’t get repetitive.
Each hero actually handles a bit differently, too. Catboy is quick off the mark, Owlette can spot and just pull in more of those crystals, and Gekko pulls this invisibility thing that lets him go through obstacles without any trouble, which feels almost like cheating in the best way. You keep collecting crystals as you race, which unlocks upgrades for the vehicles and new abilities, so there’s a simple sense of progress without needing to worry about losing or anything stressful. On top of the usual racing on wheels, sometimes you get to fly the PJ Masks’ HQ Rocket, dodging asteroids and floating stuff around the moon, so it mixes things up a bit.
