Ever since Crystal of Atlan released globally, it has received positive reviews and feedback for its sensational graphics, deep combat mechanics, and breath-taking visuals. Even the underlying growth systems are streamlined for progression. One such system, called the gear crafting system is a crucial feature that allows players to forge powerful equipment tailored to their combat needs. This system lets adventurers gather crafting materials from various sources such as dungeons, boss battles, and transform them into potent weapons that significantly enhance their combat power. Let’s get right to learning everything there is to know about the crafting system.

What is Crafting in Crystal of Atlan?

Gear crafting is a process via which players can get access to higher tier equipment in the game without the need to engage in direct combat. This system unlocks early on when your character reaches level 20. Players can view the crafting system by talking to the NPC Glenn, or by going to the gear menu and heading over to the “Craft” section. Crafting can be divided into two categories: Gear Crafting and Item Crafting, both of which are life skills.

Gear Crafting

A total of 12 different gear slots are available in the game:

  • Weapon
  • Helmet
  • Breastplate
  • Pants
  • Gloves
  • Shoes
  • Necklace
  • Bracers
  • Ring
  • Seal
  • Talisman
  • Relic

Players can craft gear pieces for each of these slots via gear crafting. Simply head over to the NPC Glenn to start the crafting process. Firstly, you will need to choose which gear set you want to craft a gear piece from. The game automatically recommends the best gear set for your class and character. We would also advise to first craft the recommended gear set. When you access the Gear List, you will get a complete list of all things available for your character’s subclass. Items are marked with a green hammer, others with a grey hammer, and some without a hammer.

  • No Hammer: You cannot make the item, thus you must obtain it through other means, such as purchasing it in the Trading House or receiving it as a drop from a boss.
  • Grey Hammer: You can create the item, but you lack the necessary components.
  • Green Hammer: You can make the item and have the necessary ingredients.

How to Craft Gear?

Once you’ve decided on a set, you can select it and then click “Go to Craft”. You will be able to create each individual gear piece if you have the necessary ingredients. If you don’t know where to get more materials, click on the material you require, then the arrows in the top right corner of the toolbox. It will show you all of the ways to obtain the required material. Some materials are available directly in dungeons or adventure mode stages, while some require exploration. Once you have gathered all the required materials, simply press the “Craft” button to acquire the said gear piece.

Item Crafting

Item crafting is another important life skill that all players should know about. You can create items using crafting tables. There is one located in Oreton beside Nichole (NPC), one in front of the mines, and another inside Glenn’s Workshop. From simple potions to complex insignias, players can craft a variety of items. The list of craftable items only increases as your level increases. At level 60, players can craft the following types of items:

  • Advanced Spare Parts
  • Circuit Components
  • Supply Boxes
  • Radiant / Stellar / Time / Netherlight Circuit
  • Insignias from dungeons.
  • Double Potions
  • Advanced Calibration Compasses
  • Hunting Permits
  • Catalysts
  • Crystal Dye Solutions
  • Weapon Blueprints
  • Advanced Transfer Stones
  • Rare Spare Parts
