A Complete Guide to Pets in Crystal of Atlan

In Crystal of Atlan, pets are more than just companions, they’re strategic integral allies that can significantly enhance your performance in both PvE and PvP scenarios. Players can use them in battles for offensive play style or a defensive backup. In this guide, we will be delving deeper into the pet system and offering insights into acquiring, managing, and optimizing pets to complement your gameplay style. Let’s begin!
What are Pets?
Pets are essentially furry creatures that are your trusted allies in combat and out of combat. The pet system unlocks when your character reaches level 26, and everyone gets a free pet called “Assistant Jackelope”. Although they might appear cute and harmless at first, you must understand that pets are battle machines that can significantly boost your overall combat power (CP). Using a pet to strategically enhance your damage and survivability is important to succeed in the tougher dungeons.
Make sure to use a pet and customize them according to your playstyle for the best results. You can choose whether the pet can accompany you or not. To choose your preferred Pet, return to the Pet menu, select the pet you wish to accompany you, then click or tab Follow. If you only have one pet, that one will follow you.
How does a Pet Function?
Pets are used in combat and out of combat, both. Their main purpose comes out during battles as they have access to unique active and passive abilities. Pets are not just assets but your companions. You can train them, and make them stronger by undergoing an evolution. Yes, pets can evolve and take different forms. Their abilities also get enhanced or they get entirely new abilities. The Assistive Attributes are special effects provided by your pets that remain active regardless of whether you are or are not battling.
To view the primary Assistive Attributes that your pets can supply, go to your menu and click or tap on Pets. The toolbox on the right displays the Assistive Attributes that the Pets will supply you while in battle. The Assistant Jackalope, for example, offers strength, intelligence, and pyro resistance. All players can have up to 2 pets in 2 different slots. The toolbox can also be used to manage both the pet slots.
Pet Abilities
Like we mentioned before, all pets in Crystal of Atlan have access to 4 abilities. Out of them, there is 1 active ability and 3 passive abilities. Active abilities are those which have a cooldown associated with them, and their effects last for a short time. Passive abilities, on the other hand, remain active for the entire duration and need not be triggered manually. The Assistant Jackelope, for example, has an active ability Carrot Bomb, which states that he throws out a carrot bomb to the designated location and causes a powerful explosion.
To configure and manage how your Pets look in both outside and inside battles, go to the Pet Menu and click or touch Line-Up. The Pet on the left will appear first on your Ability HUD, or Row I, while the Pet on the right will have its ability appear in Row II. When you activate the ability, your Pet will appear and use its abilities. Then it will enter a cooldown period. If you have a second Pet, its ability will be briefly available until the first Pet’s cooldown is up.
Levelling Up your Pet
Once in the Pet menu, select Upgrade to access the Pet level-up menu. You can level up your pet in exchange for Gold and Experience Books or Advanced Experience Books, which will increase the stats we discussed at the beginning of the post, Passive Stats. You can obtain Experience Books and Advanced Experience Books by participating in Adventure, Co-op Battles, and Challenges.
Evolving your Pet
Pets can be evolved to change their appearance as well as grant them new abilities or improve their existing ones. It’s always recommended to undergo pet evolution for better stats and CP. To evolve a Pet, you must first have its heart. When you first get a pet, you will be given a contract. For example, when you get the Shining Crystafox, you also get the Shining Crystafox contract. If you receive another Shining Crystafox Contract, it will transform into a Heart. These are the ones you will need to help your pet evolve.
Players can enjoy playing Crystal of Atlan on a bigger screen of their PC or Laptop via BlueStacks along with your keyboard and mouse.
