We’ve hand picked a number of Into the Dead 2 tips that will help you to complete the game. No matter how far you are through the game, using these tips will help you to progress further when things get tricky.
Conserve your ammo
One of the best tips we can offer is to conserve your ammo for when you really need it. This is especially true for the earlier levels. It’s easier to just get through the earlier levels as quickly as possible. You can come back to complete all five stars on each level later.
The best way to proceed through levels quickly is to simply dodge zombies instead of facing them head on. That way, you won’t run out of ammo too early, and you’ll have bullets ready and waiting for when you need to fire your way out of an emergency.
Sometimes you’ll get lucky rolls that will give you infinite ammo, and in that case, of course, feel free to fire like crazy whilst your infinite ammo is still active.
Take any offers you can for free gear
In Into the Dead 2, you will be given a lot of free gear for watching adverts. For example, at the end of a campaign level, you can often get double loot by watching an ad. It’s always worth to do this, because you’ll be getting more gear for free to upgrade your weapons, build new weapons and adopt or train new companions.
There will be the occasional levels in Into the Dead 2 that are “difficulty checks” – these are like gateways that cannot be passed easily until you level up your gear to a certain point. If you make sure to always watch as many ads when given the chance, it will be more likely that you will be able to pass these difficulty checks. If you can’t pass these levels, then you’ll be forced to repeat older levels until you have good enough gear.
Upgrade, Upgrade, Upgrade
Always make sure to check any available upgrades for your weapons or companions. Upgrading your weapons can help you to get better reload times, more ammo per mag, and more damage, which will become more important in later stages.
You will get weapon parts constantly and silver is easy enough to earn, so upgrading always makes sense if you are able to. If you upgrade as soon as possible, you reduce the risk of dying to zombies and that will cost you more energy to repeat the level.
Play the daily mode
Once you get past stage 4, you’ll be given access to a daily mode. Not only is this mode a break from the standard game that offers you access to more exciting weapons, but it can be a great way to get more gear. It’s also one of the best ways to get more silver and gold.
It’s always worth playing the daily mode whenever possible so that you are maximizing your rewards. The longer you survive in daily modes, or the more zombie kills you get, the better the rewards you will get, so make sure to be extra vigilant when playing dailies.
Play the event mode
Once you reach stage 5, you’ll unlock event modes. These are limited time or seasonal game modes that offer unique opportunities to get new gear. The events aren’t always that great, but sometimes you can get some exceptional rewards for what is essentially free.
If you can, try to complete any events before they finish – the best rewards are often right near the end.
Pay attention to your weapon position
This is a quick tip for anybody that struggles to know whether their aim is on point. When you are ready to shoot a zombie, your weapon will be raised slightly. You can use this trick to line up zombie shots from a long distance. This trick can be excellent for completing any zombie kill challenges or for when you really need to preserve your ammo.
Go back to earlier levels when you get stuck
There will undoubtedly be times where you’ll get stuck in Into the Dead 2. Sometimes you’ll struggle to get by because you don’t have enough good gear or you just keep getting attacked by surprise zombies. It happens a lot, and the best thing you can do is to go back to the first level and repeat it for new gear.
What’s great about Into the Dead 2 is that the rewards you get at the end of each level is based on the last level you unlocked, not the level you are playing. For example, if you completed the very final campaign level, you could go back and repeat level 1 over and over again and you’d get the same gear from that as you would from the final campaign level. It’s a neat secret that many people aren’t aware about in Into the Dead 2.
Play on PC
For our final tip, we would suggest playing on PC if you can, instead of on a tablet or a phone. This has a number of benefits. Firstly, the performance will be much better, which means you don’t have to worry about dying due to lag or freezing.
On top of this, playing on PC is far easier because you have a larger display. It’s easier to see what’s happening, which makes it easier to dodge zombies and line up shots. We would suggest trying to play Into the Dead 2 on BlueStacks, because it’s very easy to set up controls and get playing within minutes.
