King of Avalon : Advanced Tips, Tricks, and Tactics
At first glance, King of Avalon may seem like a standard conquest game, but it actually contains quite complex mechanics. It will require you to play for weeks to learn all of these and start using them efficiently. Or, you can use this guide to quickly learn the tricks. Read below the winning tips and tricks to make your kingdom grow faster and have a more enjoyable gaming experience.
Take Advantage Of The Events
Various events are organized regularly in King of Avalon, sometimes even more than one at the same time. Some of them are for end-level players and if you’re new to the game, it’s unfortunately not possible to participate. However, there are also events that new players can benefit from.
For example, you can join an event by only training troops. Event awards include gold, the most valuable currency in the game, and various other resources. Therefore, be sure to visit the event center frequently and check to see if there is anything you can participate in.
Use Your Dragon
If you want to take advantage of the army buffs, you need to add your dragon to the army – we stated this in our Dragon guide. But, what if the dragon provides an important buff for the city at the time and you don’t want to give it up? You can work around this problem temporarily with the “Dragon Shadow” feature. You can summon a shadow of your dragon to join your army and give the relevant buffs. The “real” dragon can remain in the city. So, your dragon can be in two different places at the same time!
Unfortunately, using this feature requires you to pay with real money every time. Therefore, we recommend that you do not use the summon shadow unless there is an emergency. However, this feature allows you to provide buffs to two different armies at the same time, which will provide a great advantage on the battlefield. So, remember that you have such an option.
Finish Your Daily Tasks
King of Avalon assigns players some tasks they can complete each day. By performing these tasks, you can earn 420 activity points on a daily basis. When a certain milestone is completed, you will be awarded a free loot crate.
On this screen, you can see which tasks you need to complete and how many points you can earn. Most of the tasks are things that you will anyway do when you play the game. For example, you can earn activity points by even training 25 infantry. The important thing here is that there is no system that tells you that you have won a loot chest. So, unless you open and control the Daily Task screen, you are not even aware of the existence of these chests. Therefore, often check if you have completed a milestone and don’t forget to claim your rewards whenever you have. Many valuable resources and items can be found inside the crates.
Use Exchange System
If you’re having trouble obtaining resources, we suggest you take a look at our Resources guide – it contains a lot of tips that will be useful to you. We will recommend another method here: Using the Exchange building. This building offers a collective service with many options such as the auction house, black market, and marketplace.
These options allow you to purchase resources and other valuables in the game. But if you’re not playing with real money, we don’t recommend using the auction house: The prices are all in gold and quite high.
The marketplace is a much more convenient option for free players. Because it offers the option to exchange resources. For example, if you have lots of wood but need food, you can trade the wood for food.
Finally, be sure to check the Black Market from time to time. Prices are still in gold, but they are much lower. Even the free players can shop easily. For example, you can purchase a very rare armor for only 10 gold.
Use Emblems To Further Enhance Dragon Skills
In our Dragon guide, we mentioned that you can enhance the skills of a dragon. Using the Emblem option, you can further improve these skills. Emblems have three different grades and the rarest ones can make some skills more effective by 70%.
But it’s a little hard to get emblems: They come out of packs that are sold for real money. You can also buy them from the Destiny Trader, but this option only allows you to get the lowest grade emblems. So you have to pay real money if you want to use Grade 3 emblems.
Emblems provide an advantage in the competitive end-game phase, but they are not mandatory. We recommend that you use them only if you are interested in min/maxing your character.
Leave Stronghold Last
You can upgrade every building in your city, but make sure your Stronghold is the last of them. Stronghold has the longest upgrade time and uses a lot of resources for this process. The main problem, however, is that it turns you into a threat: Players with high-level strongholds get attacked more often.
If your Stronghold’s level is high, you give the other players the message that there is something worth attacking. And if you haven’t upgraded your other buildings, you’re more affected by the attack. For example, if your Stronghold is level 5, but your barrack is level 1, you will not be able to train troops that are required for defence. For this reason, always upgrade other buildings first and leave your Stronghold to the last.
See Your Entire Army Easily
Have you forgotten how many warriors and bowmen you have in your army? Do you wonder how many troops you have in total? Using the Parade Ground building, you can see everything you need to know about your army easily.
This building does not have a menu, so it may be a while before you realize that it exists. Be sure to check out the Parade Ground building regularly to see a general report about your military power and understand your shortcomings.
Get More Help From Your Allies
If you are an Alliance member, you know that you can send help to other members and ask for help. Each help request reduces the required research/construct/upgrade time by 1%. However, you cannot send your requests in succession, and you can request only a certain times of help each day. Using the Alliance Tech feature, you can get rid of this limitation and request more help every day.
In addition, Alliance Tech research enables you to get permanent speed buffs. You can increase your building construction and upgrade speeds permanently and earn various awards for your contributions to research. If you are an alliance member, be sure to participate in Alliance Tech research.
