One of the biggest events that occur every month in RAID: Shadow Legends  are it’s coveted fusion event where players can get a shiny new legendary champion completely free if they plan their resources in the right way. Being a turn-based RPG, RAID: Shadow Legends does a great job at adding new interesting champions with unique mechanics. As the 4th-anniversary celebrations are officially over, the focus of Plarium is shifted back introducing more of their regular updates that add new champions. For the month of July 2023, Gnut is the new champion that is going to be available for free via a classic fusion event. Before we start the guide, we must address that the fusion event has already started on 3rd July 2023 and runs till 17th July 2023, lasting just 2 weeks.

  2. Gnut Fusion Event Guide
  3. Fusing Gnut

During this Fusion event, Plarium provides 16 rare champions in multiple Events and Tournaments at certain point requirements. In line with previous classic fusion events, players will also be able to get 1 of the Epic champion separately from a tournament or event. Players will have to manually level and ascend each of the Rare champions to fuse them into their respective epic champions. Further, they have to level and ascend the 4 copies of the Epic champions to 5 stars level 50 to Fuse Gnut.

Gnut Champion Skills

Gnut is a new legendary grade Spirit affinity champion from the Dwarves faction. Gnut’s attacks and abilities deal damage according to his base Defense. His base Defense is 1520, which is above average for Defensive champions in the game. We recommend building Gnut with Stoneskin, Savage, Lethal, Cruel, and Bolster artifact sets with Critical Hit Rate%, Critical Hit Damage%, Defense%, and Speed as the main stats. Try to focus on getting Speed, Accuracy, Defense%, Critical Hit Rate%, and Critical Hit Damage% as sub-stats.

Gnut Fusion Event Guide

Like previous traditional/classic fusions, the difficulty bar for Gnut fusion is quite high. One of the biggest difficulties of fusing Gnut will be to decide whether you have enough resources to complete the fusion. Leaving a fusion midway is one of the worst options as it drains your resources while not allowing you to fuse Gnut.

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

To set the premise of the event, players require 4 copies of the same Epic champion. Each Epic champion can further be fused with the help of 4 copies of the new rare champion. The copies of the Rare champion can be found in Events and Tournaments and can be collected by reaching certain milestones in them. Pretty simple, right? It is simple; however, we will give a detailed guide on how to manage your resources to obtain enough resources to fuse them. Let’s see who the new Epic champions required for fusing Gnut are: –

  • Ambassador Lethelin (Force Affinity)
  • Weregrind Suncursed (Void Affinity)

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

Further, players will need 8 copies each of the new rare champions to fuse them into the above-mentioned Epic champions. The new Rare champions are:

  • Loneblade Riab (Force Affinity)
  • Treeshield Knott (Void Affinity)

We will now list the various events and tournaments through which you will be able to obtain copies of these new champions.

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

Here is the list: –

  • Artifact Enhancement Event Part 1 (3rd – 6th July)
  • Spider Tournament (3rd – 6th July)
  • Champion Training Event (3rd – 8th July)
  • Dungeon Divers Event Part 1 (4th – 7th July)
  • Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 1 (6th – 9th July)
  • Dragon Tournament (6th – 9th July)
  • Artifact Enhancement Event Part 2 (7th – 10th July)
  • Summon Rush Event (7th – 10th July)
  • Dungeon Divers Event Part 2 (8th – 11th July)
  • Champion Training Tournament (9th – 13th July)
  • Ice Golem Tournament (10th – 13th July)
  • Artifact Enhancement Event Part 3 (11th – 14th July)
  • Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 2 (12th – 15th July)
  • Dungeon Divers Event Part 3 (12th – 15th July)
  • Fire Knight Tournament (13th – 16th July)
  • Champion Chase Tournament (14th – 17th July)

Preparation for these Events and Tournaments

As we can see from the timings of these Events and Tournaments presented by Plarium that many of these collide with each other. If you are confused by what some of the terms mean or where some of the locations of the dungeons and events are, here is a helpful guide (https://www.bluestacks.com/blog/game-guides/raid-shadow-legends/rsl-farming-guide-en.html).  Now doing every event and tournament 1 by 1 will drain your resources very quickly, and you will be left with insufficient rare champions to fuse one copy of the Epic champion. You might need to spend gems to refill energy for completing the remaining events and tournaments.

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

Careful planning and judiciously using your resources will make this fusion event a little bit simpler. Take a look at our preparation process for Gnut Fusion here: –

3rd July – 17th July –

  • Artifact Enhancement Event Part 1: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at 2250 Points)
  • Spider Tournament: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at 2850 points)

Artifact Enhancement event is again very straightforward but can drain a lot of your silver reserves. If you were not prepared, then you might have to spend your precious energy to farm silver coins for upgrading your equipment. Here are a few tips to achieve those points: –

  1. You can pre-roll your artifacts till Lvl 7/11/15 and then simply spend silver to upgrade to the next level as you get points only after upgrading artifacts to LVL 4,8,12 and 16 with the highest points being given at 6-star LVL 16 artifact upgrades.
  2. You can level up 3 6-Star artifacts to level 16 to easily complete this event in a go
  3. Save up to roughly 6 million silver per artifact enhancement event, as this amount is roughly what it takes to complete these events.

However, if you have enough silver or artifacts upgraded to a certain level, then feel free to use them to complete this event. It also takes a lot of time because the general upgrading speed for artifacts is very slow, and it fails many times as well. However, if you use BlueStacks Eco mode (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A72kd3C6VIU&ab_channel=BlueStacksOfficial), you can significantly speed up this process and save so much time!

The Spider tournament requires the players to farm the Spiders Den dungeon in order to collect points for the tournament. In this tournament, players get points for the tournament according to the quantity and quality of the artifacts that are obtained through farming the dungeon. It’s observed over the time that the most efficient way to obtain majority of the points is to simply repeatedly clear Stage 20 of the Spider dungeon. This should take you least 220 runs, in order to reach the milestone for the Rare champion. The entire tournament should cost you around 2200 energy if you do it the way we imply. For players who are looking for better quality artifacts during this farming session and do not care about spending more energy for the same number of points, then we would recommend to farm Stage 25 of the Spider dungeon.

During the Spider tournament, Plarium is also going to be running a Super Raid event for the Spider dungeon. Super Raids allow the players to get double the rewards by consuming double the energy, but playing the stage only 1 time. Essentially, it doubles your artifact gains for energy used but saves half the time. Players can “check-mark” the box next to Super Raids to use them when farming the Spider dungeon.

  • Champion Training Event: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at X Points)
  • Dungeon Divers Event Part 1: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at X Points)

The Champion training event is all about upgrading and enhancing your champions to the best of your capabilities. To do this, you would need to go to the Tavern, located at the middle of the home screen. You will see a lot of options to upgrade your champions, such as levelling them up to increase their base stats, promoting them to increase their ranks and give extra base stats, or simply to ascend them to provide them with enhanced abilities and extra stats. Lastly, with the past year changes, Plarium also allows players to get points when they use different quality books to enhance the skills of their champions

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

The Dungeon divers event is going to be the 1st iteration such for the Gnut fusion. For this session, we would highly recommend players to farm the Spiders dungeon just 1 day later when this dungeon divers event starts. This would save players a lot of energy of farming other dungeons separately just to get points for the dungeon divers event. You would essentially be killing 2 birds with 1 stone if you choose to simply farm the Spider dungeon, as it will net you points for both the event as well as the tournament.

  • Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 1: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at X Points)
  • Dragon Tournament: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at X Points)

The Classic Arena Takedown tournament is part of the PvP side of things, which might sound tough but it’s actually one of the easiest tournaments to fully complete. That is due to the fact that Plarium adjusts the amount of points required for the champion milestone according to your current rank in the Classic Arena game mode. Similarly, event the amount of points obtained for the tournament per victory are also adjusted according to your current rank.

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

The Dragon tournament requires the players to farm the Dragons Lair dungeon in order to collect points for the tournament. In this tournament, players get points for the tournament according to the quantity and quality of the artifacts that are obtained through farming the dungeon. It’s observed over the time that the most efficient way to obtain majority of the points is to simply repeatedly clear Stage 20 of the Dragon dungeon. This should take you least 220 runs, in order to reach the milestone for the Rare champion. The entire tournament should cost you around 2200 energy if you do it the way we imply. For players who are looking for better quality artifacts during this farming session and do not care about spending more energy for the same number of points, then we would recommend to farm Stage 25 of the Dragon dungeon.

During the Dragon tournament, Plarium is also going to be running a Super Raid event for the Spider dungeon. Super Raids allow the players to get double the rewards by consuming double the energy, but playing the stage only 1 time. Essentially, it doubles your artifact gains for energy used but saves half the time. Players can “check-mark” the box next to Super Raids to use them when farming the Dragon dungeon.

  • Artifact Enhancement Event Part 2: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at X Points)
  • Summon Rush Event: Treeshield Knott Champion / Ambassador Lethelin (Obtained at X/X Points)

Artifact Enhancement event, as we have continuously mentioned time and time again, a huge silver drain. This event can be the easiest event to complete or the toughest one, depending on your current silver situation. Naturally, by now you should have a vast amount of artifacts that you will need to sort and sell because you have participated in 2 dungeon farming tournaments. Sell the useless artifacts and keep the one’s that are good according to you.

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

Summon Rush event is a summoning based event that rewards the players according to the summons they make. The quality of shards is the determining factor for the points acquired for the event. The quality of champions does not affect the number of points obtained in this event. Here are the points received depending on the shard: –

Mystery Shard: 1 Point

Ancient Shard: 20 Points

Void Shard: 100 Points

Sacred Shard: 500 Points

  • Dungeon Divers Event Part 2: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at X Points)
  • Champion Training Tournament: Treeshield Knott Champion (Obtained at X Points)

The 2nd iteration of the Dungeon divers starts just 2 days after the Dragon tournament. During this time, we would recommend players to farm the Dragons lair dungeon in order to get points for both the event and the tournament. If you have already achieved the milestones for the Dragon tournament, then get the remainder of the points for dungeon divers event through campaign mode, often doubling down to level up champions with an XP booster on.

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

The Champion Training tournament is one of the toughest events in this list, right on with the summoning events. Players try to compete against other players in a leader board format. Naturally, this will lead to a lot of resource drain as you try to maximize your champion growth. We would recommend to only go for the Rare champion in the side rewards instead of competing with other players to get the 1st place reward. Here are some additional tips for the champion training tournament:

  1. Always remember to level up your chickens before using them to promote your champions.
  2. Do not waste brews to level up champions who are already at a high level as the efficiency of brews decreases drastically if used on high-level champions.
  3. Use Mystery shards to generate more fodder if you are out of low-rank champions.
  • Ice Golem Tournament: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at X Points)
  • Artifact Enhancement Event Part 3: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at X Points)

The Ice Golem tournament requires the players to farm the Ice Golem dungeon in order to collect points for the tournament. In this tournament, players get points for the tournament according to the quantity and quality of the artifacts that are obtained through farming the dungeon. It’s observed over the time that the most efficient way to obtain majority of the points is to simply repeatedly clear Stage 20 of the Ice Golem dungeon. This should take you least 220 runs, in order to reach the milestone for the Rare champion. The entire tournament should cost you around 2200 energy if you do it the way we imply. For players who are looking for better quality artifacts during this farming session and do not care about spending more energy for the same number of points, then we would recommend to farm Stage 25 of the Ice Golem dungeon.

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

During the Ice Golem tournament, Plarium is also going to be running a Super Raid event for the Ice Golem dungeon. Super Raids allow the players to get double the rewards by consuming double the energy, but playing the stage only 1 time. Essentially, it doubles your artifact gains for energy used but saves half the time. Players can “check-mark” the box next to Super Raids to use them when farming the Ice Golem dungeon.

As with any Artifact enhancement event, make sure to have ample amounts of pre-rolled gear and silver resources to be able to enhance them in order to gain some quick points. Feel free to use your Gems to recharge energy or directly buy Silver in case you are in a dire crunch.

  • Classic Arena Takedown Tournament Part 2: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at X Points)
  • Dungeon Divers Event Part 3: Loneblade Riab Champion (Obtained at X Points)

The 2nd iteration of the Classic Arena takedown tournament is not only the perfect opportunity to test out your newly built champions and artifact sets but also a great way to earn some extra rewards along the way. Remember, choose opponents that are easier in comparison to your player power for easy fights and potential victories.

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

The 3rd and the final iteration of the Dungeon divers event is going to be starting just a day earlier than the Fire Knight tournament. As we have said time and time again, make use of this opportunity to farm the Fire Knights dungeon repeatedly a day later to get points for both the tournament and event.

  • Fire Knight Tournament: Margrave Greenhawk Champion (Obtained at X Points)

The Fire Knight tournament requires the players to farm the Fire Knight dungeon in order to collect points for the tournament. In this tournament, players get points for the tournament according to the quantity and quality of the artifacts that are obtained through farming the dungeon. It’s observed over the time that the most efficient way to obtain majority of the points is to simply repeatedly clear Stage 20 of the Fire Knight dungeon. This should take you least 220 runs, in order to reach the milestone for the Rare champion. The entire tournament should cost you around 2200 energy if you do it the way we imply. For players who are looking for better quality artifacts during this farming session and do not care about spending more energy for the same number of points, then we would recommend to farm Stage 25 of the Fire Knight dungeon.

RAID: Shadow Legends – Gnut Legendary Champion Fusion Guide

During the Fire Knight tournament, Plarium is also going to be running a Super Raid event for the Fire Knight dungeon. Super Raids allow the players to get double the rewards by consuming double the energy, but playing the stage only 1 time. Essentially, it doubles your artifact gains for energy used but saves half the time. Players can “check-mark” the box next to Super Raids to use them when farming the Fire Knight dungeon.

  • Champion Chase Tournament: Treeshield Knott Champion (Obtained at X Points)

The Champion Chase tournament is all about obtaining high quality champions. This is a complete 180 from the Summon Rush events where the quality of shards used matter. Players can even use their collected champion fragments and use them to get points for the champion chase tournament. Similarly, champions from market and all the other sources also grant you points for the tournament.

Fusing Gnut

For fusing Gnut, players will need the following potions and chickens:

    • Lesser Affinity Potions: 120 Force, 40 Void
    • Greater Affinity Potions: 108 Force, 36 Void
    • Superior Affinity Potions: 18 Force, 6 Void

For leveling champions, we would recommend farming 12-3 brutal stage repeatedly or using your brews to level them.
