Roblox Forsaken Beginner’s Guide – Survive, Escape, and Master the Horror

Forsaken is an asymmetrical horror game on Roblox where players are dropped into a terrifying eternal prison. Some become Survivors tasked with escaping, while one player becomes the Killer whose mission is to hunt them down. Whether you’re stepping into Forsaken for the first time or trying to grasp the game’s basics, this beginner’s guide covers everything from gameplay mechanics to winning strategies.
Playing as a Survivor in Forsaken
As a Survivor, your main objective is to repair generators and escape through exit gates. You’ll need to work together, heal teammates, and evade the Killer using stealth and clever movement. Survivors each have a special ability to assist in different situations. Players will get the chance of playing characters from the survivor category when playing this role. Keep in mind, survivors have special abilities that cannot damage others but help you escape the killer in tricky situations. Smart positioning and using these abilities at the right time often mean the difference between life and death.
Some notable examples of survivor characters include:
- Noob: Offers defensive boosts through SlateSkin Potion—ideal for learning the basics.
- Elliot: Can heal teammates with his Pizza Throw, supporting the team while earning EXP.
- Guest 1337: A well-rounded character who can block or stun the Killer.
- 007n7: Creates a decoy clone to mislead the Killer.
- Shedletsky: Combines offense and defense through his melee stun ability.
Playing as a Killer in Forsaken
The Killer’s role is to prevent the Survivors from escaping. With enhanced speed, vision, and a unique power activated through their Malice Meter, the Killer hunts Survivors relentlessly. Killers thrive on controlling the map, forcing Survivors into traps, and punishing mistakes. Although powerful, the Killer must be strategic, as skilled Survivors can evade them using map knowledge and teamwork.
How the Round system work?
In typical fashion, a classic game of Forsaken revolves around the following turn of events:
- Players spawn at random locations on the map.
- Survivors locate and repair generators to progress toward opening the exit.
- The Killer roams the map, tracking Survivors through sound and sight cues.
- Once all required generators are repaired, the exit gates are powered.
- Survivors must then reach and open an exit gate while avoiding capture.
- The match ends when either all Survivors escape or are eliminated.
Repairing Generators
Generators are the primary focus for Survivors. Repairing them progresses the escape process and earns experience points (EXP). Players must carefully manage skill checks—mini quick-time events—while repairing. Failing a skill check alerts the Killer, forcing Survivors to relocate or face confrontation.
Exit Gates
When enough generators are powered, exit gates become available. Opening a gate is a slow process that leaves you exposed. Communicate with teammates to either distract the Killer or work together to open the gate faster.
Co-ordinate with Team to Win More Matches!
Forsaken emphasizes cooperation. While it’s possible to win solo, teamwork dramatically increases your survival chances. Sharing generator repairs speeds up objectives, and healing teammates prevents the Killer from overwhelming the team. Supporting one another during chases, repairs, and gate openings leads to higher success rates.
