Call of Duty: Mobile is set for the second season in 2021, with the new season scheduled to commence from the 10th of March. There are several additions, improvements and changes that will get the fans hyped for Season 2: Day of Reckoning. Let us take a deep dive into everything that is coming along with the patch update, with the Garena version revealing the patch notes of the upcoming update.

Two New Maps – Shoot House and Modernized Shipment

Call of Duty: Mobile already revealed the scheduled arrival of two new maps and this patch adds the two maps – Shoot House and Modernized Shipment – into the map pool for the mobile version.

Shoot House will be available for Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hard Point, Kill Confirmed and other game modes. Fabled for the 3-route design, Shoot House enables close combat while also retaining some room for sniping and tacticality.

Shipment on the other hand, is a pure close-combat heavy map. The map has been given a makeover to fit the ‘modern’ style, especially the look of the shipping containers present in abundance throughout the map, which is the shortest in the Call of Duty series. Players can queue and find the Shipment’s modernized version in Team DeathMatch, Domination, Hard Point, Kill Confirmed and other game modes. Shipment can also be found in the new game mode, ‘Gunfight Sniper’ that also arrives with this patch.

Gunfight Sniper – A Sniper only Game Mode

A game mode that only involves sniper rifles, Gunfight Sniper directs players to work as a team and pick up sniper rifles on the map before coming out victorious by eliminating or completing objectives through the acquired sniper rifles, with the likes of SKS, NA-45 and Kilo Bolt Action available in this game mode.

The Gunfight Sniper mode will be available to be played on Modernized Shipment, Cage, Pine, King and other maps.

Tank Battle – A Tank Oriented Battle Royale Mode

Everything You Need to Know About The Call of Duty: Mobile Season Two Update

Available to be played in the Ranked Mode, Tank Battle is a Battle Royale game mode that requires players to assemble five Tank components – A tank chassis, Components for tank’s engine, Components for tank’s armor, Components for tank’s primary weapon, Components for tank’s secondary weapon – to build a Tank. Alternatively, a Tank can also be assembled according to the blueprint in Airdrop. Once assembled, the Tank allows more players to be part of the battle of the Tanks.

The Tank Battle mode will have some Anti-Tank weapons available for players to enable destruction of the said tanks, with the likes of Delay Bomb, Proximity Mine, Anti-Tank Sticky Grenade, Anti-Tank Sniper and Anti-Tank War Machine being added. Damaged Tanks can also be repaired with the help of a Welding Gun.

The AS VAL – An Automatic Rifle that packs quite a punch

Call of Duty: Mobile is also adding AS VAL – a Legendary class assault rifle that deals heavy damage with a great fire rate – as a new base weapon. However, the bullet speed is slower than expected while the fall-off trajectory of the bullet is high. The firing system creates a subsonic effect, which in turn creates a silencing illusion. Due to the trajectory falloff in particular, the rifle will require a lot of mastering, especially for players who prefer long-range aim duels.

Along with AS VAL, the SP-R 208 is set to be added to the armory of weapons in Call of Duty: Mobile. SP-R 208 is a Sniper Rifle with greater mobility compared to the classic sniper rifles while also reserving the usually heavy damage dealing power.

New Battle Pass, Battle Pass and Events Rewards

With Season 2, the new Battle Pass will also make an appearance, with a free and premium reward sequence as usual. The Premium rewards include 4 new epic Soldiers, new Epic Blueprints and new Legendary Calling Cards. The free rewards include the AS VAL rifle as mentioned above along with a new scorestreak called Napalm that scorches the enemies in the nearby area (AOE) while filling the battlefield with flames. Napalm in general is a volatile petrochemical used in bombs and thus fits the design and effect of the scorestreak perfectly.

There are new events and missions that will hit the servers with this patch update, with new rewards up for grabs. A new perk called Recon is available, which when activated will scan and reveal the enemies nearby on the minimap after you kill someone. The Rank Series is also receiving a reset, with the new series set to be played out between March and May, 2021.

Cargo Truck – The Mega Carrier

A two-seater by nature, Cargo Truck might have just two spots to seat – one for the driver and the other for the co-driver. However, the body of the truck is able to accommodate multiple soldiers. The truck can carry soldiers, who climb into the body and/or trunk of the truck. Since the Cargo Truck is a truck, it is by design a bit slower but more durable compared to other vehicles while also being good for carrying a team of soldiers to the battlefield.
