One of the biggest releases of 2022, Dislyte are known for their punk’ em art style and portrait mode gameplay. The latest update for Dislyte is titled Patch 3.2.1 and can be seen in the live version of the game on 21st March 2023. The new version, better known as “Pan’s Band” brings 3 new espers added to the game as playable characters. These will be Ethan, Koharu, and Jin-Hee. Ethan being the legendary grade that lost to Embla (Ymir) in the previous Voting event where the community voted for the next esper to be released. Apart from new espers, tons of new events and game modes can also be expected as Dislyte are known for their feature-rich updates. Among the events are the likes of Warm Spring, Hunter’s Depot, Novice Support, and much more. Let’s get right into the in-depth breakdown for Patch 3.2.1 which is scheduled to release on 21st March 2023. 

Ethan – New 5-Star Esper

Ethan is a 5-Star Flow elemental esper that is classified as a Support in-game. Ethan has the powers of the God Pan. Ethan’s introduction reads as follows – “After several incidents, Ethan founded the All-Trades Agency in Tangton with his friend, hoping to help others with his Esper powers.

Ethan likes to play the accordion on sunny afternoons, attracting animals that like to listen and play with him. With the powers of Pan coursing through his veins, Ethan loves to joke around. He may look cynical, but he is actually kindhearted.”

Chaos Sound (Active Skill) – Attacks 1 enemy. Has a chance of reducing AP. If the enemy is afflicted with Panic Gaze, inflicts Stun. If Ethan has Magic Tune, all effects from this attack cannot be resisted.

Joyful Delights (Active Skill) – Attacks all enemies multiple times. Each hit has a chance of inflicting DEF Down. Each hit inflicts Panic Gaze on its target, causing the target different negative effects based on the type of action the target takes.

Lvl 2 Trigger chance increased to 80%

Lvl 3 Detonation damage increased to 60%

Enchanting Song (Active Skill): Grants all allies Magic Tune and Immunity. Allies with Magic Tune get their C. RATE, C. DMG, and CRIT RESIST boosted by a certain percentage and receive a fixed value of SPD.

Cooldown: 5 turns

Magic Tune: Increases C. RATE and C. DMG by a percentage. Increases SPD by a certain amount. Reduces the chance of taking C. DMG by a percentage.

Panic Gaze: When the carrier casts basic abilities, removes Magic Tune from the target (won’t miss and cannot be resisted) and deals True Damage to the caster based on the carrier’s Max HP. (It won’t kill the carrier. Damage from going against Bosses is reduced.) If the carrier casts non-basic abilities or dies, Panic Gaze will be removed from all allies of the carrier (including the carrier), and their Ability Cooldowns will be extended (won’t miss and cannot be resisted).

RESONANCE PHASES FOR ETHAN

Phase 1: (Chaos Sound – Static): Chaos Sound: AP Reduction changed to 30%.

Phase 2: (Enchanting Song – Morph 1): New Effect – Enchanting Song: At the start of combat, all allies gain Magic Tune for 1 turn.

Mirroring AP changed to Swapping AP (Swap doesn’t take effect on Bosses, and is not regarded as AP Boost/AP Reduction).

Phase 3: (Blessing): Base ATK, Base DEF, and Base HP + 15%.

Phase 4: (Rock Solid): Damage Taken -20% (expires upon gaining a turn for the first time in combat).

Phase 5: (Aura): Base ATK, Base DEF, and Base HP + 20%.

Phase 6: (Enchanting Song – Morph 2): Change – Enchanting Song: Whenever the enemy receives AP boost effects, all allies, instead of Ethan himself, gain 50% of the same effect (requires Ascension Phase 3 completion).

Koharu – New 4-Star Esper

Koharu is a 4-Star Inferno elemental esper that is classified as a Supporter in-game. Koharu has the powers of the Goddess Ame-No-Uzume. Koharu’s introduction reads as follows – “Koharu is an excellent dancer. Despite being only nineteen, she has already gained fame throughout Grandis. To the public, she is known for her elegant dancing, but to Koharu, elegance is also a fundamental creed that she lives by.”

Phase 2 (Accurate Aim): When the target is not buffed, Miss Rate -25%.

Jin-Hee is a 4-Star Wind elemental esper that is classified as a Controller in-game. Jin-Hee has the powers of the Goddess Dokkaebi. Jin-Hee’s introduction reads as follows – “A baseball is just a baseball. How powerful can one be? If one dares to ask this question, then they must have never met Jin-hee, Ops Chief of the Union.

Jin-hee learned to play baseball as a young child and was capable of hitting any target she threw at. When she became an Esper, she discovered that her talents could be utilized in combat.”

Dizzy Daze: Incapacitate the carrier. When the carrier takes a hit, the caster gets an AP increase. Trigger times per turn are limited.

  • The Knockout is going to be a leader board stylized content. The description reads as follows – “Take part in Knockout and fight to get your name to the top of the leaderboards.” 
  • Knockout unlocks when the player clears Story mode on Chapter 12 Stage 16 easy mode and acquires 10 espers at Level 50. Knockout is going to be a new way of obtaining Supply Vouchers by challenging other squads. Players can spend the Supply Vouchers in the Tournament Shop. Each season is going to span for a period of time. The results will be tallied at the end of each season to provide seasonal rewards based on the player’s ranking. Some of the juiciest rewards include the likes of Legendary Abilimon Fragments, Nexus Crystals, and Supply Vouchers.
  • The entry to Knockout will be based on a new currency called Knockout Entry Ticket. Each ticket can be used to enter 1 time. This currency regenerates over time at the rate of 1 ticker per 4 hours. Players can store up to a maximum of 20 Knockout Entry Tickets at a time. Each season, 10 tickets will be given to all players.
  • Players can deploy 2 different team formations, each consisting of 5 espers each. A total of 10 espers are required to be deployed. 
  • The entire combat takes place in an automated simulated environment where the players have 0 control over the abilities of their espers. Players can also choose to completely skip the combat altogether to directly view the results of the battle. 
  • The matches play out in an elimination method where a particular team that hasn’t lost yet will continue to fight teams that have not fought a single battle. The winning team will suffer from a Fatigue debuff that hampers their damage dealt while makes them susceptible to taking more damage. 
  • When the winning team enters the next battle, they will recover a certain percentage of their HP and ability cooldowns. 

Quick Battle and Frames

With the new update, a lot of new achievement related rewards are also being added to Dislyte. Also, a quick handy Quality-of-Life feature for the Point War system. Here’s a quick look at the new additions:

  • Players whose Club will be ranked in top 100 of the world’s Sentinel Hunt rankings will be rewarded with a special limited-time Sentinel avatar. This avatar can be valid for only 1 season.
  • A new QOL feature called Quick Battle is being added to Point War. This feature will be available when players fight 5 times in the game mode. 
  • Admission Certificates can be used to perform Quick Battles. This feature helps skip the battle entirely and directly shows you the result. 

Hunter’s Depot
