The Lord of the Rings: War has received an exciting update. Today, you can join Merry and Pippin at the Elven Festival in Rivendell for some enjoyable activities. Also, there have been numerous great changes to the game that will enhance your battle experiences.

Whether you’ve been playing for a while or you’re just starting out, there’s lots of new stuff for you to check out. Let’s take a look at what’s new and how it’ll make your playtime more fun.

Spring Festival in the World of Elves

Spring is here, and in The Lord of the Rings: War, it’s time for the Elven Festival of Renewal. This event is special because it brings new fun and adventures.

Merry and Pippin, two well-known hobbits, invite you to join the festival in Rivendell. Their journey is not just about having fun but about showing you the beauty and friendship in the game. As you follow them, we get to see new places and faces in the game.

The festival will take you through Eriador, a place full of different sights. You’ll walk through forests, over hills, and around old ruins. Each spot has its own story and secrets. It’s a chance to see parts of the game that you might not have noticed before.

Siege Gameplay Adjustments

Recent updates have simplified and enhanced battles, focusing on simple, enjoyable gameplay for all players.

Making Siege Simpler

There have been big changes to siege damage and the toughness of buildings and lands. Now, it’s all in easy numbers. You can quickly see how strong your attack is and how tough your defense is. This means planning your battles is a breeze.

Siege and Speed Ratings

The developers also added ratings for how well units do in sieges and how fast they move. Units with the same ratings match up evenly and will move at the same speed. This helps you choose your units wisely, making your army strong and speedy exactly where it needs to be.

Uniformity in Siege Strength

There’s also a new way to show siege strength, using ratings to compare different types of units’ abilities in sieges. If units share a siege rating, they deal similar damage, considering they have the same resources.

Boosting the Skills of the Commanders

Finally, Gothmog, Ugthak, and Grishnákh have received updates that make them more influential in sieges. For instance, Gothmog’s “Morgul Lieutenant” skill now increases siege damage by 12% for his formation at level 10.

Similarly, Ugthak and Grishnákh’s “Warlord” skill boosts siege damage by 8%. Moreover, gear like “Orthanc’s Devilry” has been adjusted to enhance siege damage by 4%-12%, depending on the item.

These improvements mean that your choices in leaders and equipment can greatly impact your battle strategies and boost your attack power.

New Feature Optimizations

Here are the latest updates that will 100% improve your gaming experience in The Lord of the Rings: War:

Adjustments to the Battlefield

Apart from the new festivals, feature changes, and adjustments to the skills of the commanders, there are also crucial adjustments to the battlefield.

Soldier Transport to Forts

Now, you can move soldiers directly from your main base’s barracks to any fort you own. The more advanced your fort, the more soldiers it can hold. This means that you can quickly have troops ready to fight or support your armies.

Advanced Fort Capabilities

You can upgrade your forts to Tactical Forts, a new feature for stronger defenses. These upgraded forts can host more soldiers and let you tweak your army’s configuration right from the fort.

Also, you can mix and match soldiers and commanders as needed, giving you flexibility in how you defend or attack.

Unique Tactical Forts

Every player can now have one Tactical Fort. This special fort enables soldier transport and army setup changes without returning to the main base. It’s a game-changer for effectively managing your forces and responding to threats faster.

Workshop Enhancements

Introducing the Workshop, a new addition that lets you influence the resources produced on your lands.

Once built, the Workshop can change the type of resources produced or boost the output of existing resources. This gives you more control over your territory’s contributions to your war efforts.

New Rules and Requirements for Structures

The developers also made some updates to how you protect and manage your territories. Here’s what you need to know.

Keeping Your Land Safe

To take over important spots such as Passes, Control Points, and Landmarks, your group (Fellowship) must have a fortress close by. But you don’t need to connect them to your personal forts anymore.

When it comes to Crossings and Tunnels, there are no extra steps. Your armies just need to be near one of your group’s buildings to take control. Anyone on your team can use these crossings and tunnels, even if no one owns them yet.

Building and Growing Together

Your group needs something called Construct Points to build anything. Don’t worry, as these points will refill over time.

Fortresses, which are super important for defending, can only be built on special places called Mysterious Springs that your group owns. But now the area they cover is smaller, and the time it takes to build one is doubled.

You can only build an Employment Hall on Mysterious Springs that are currently being used by your Fellowship.

Kingdom Protection and Guarding Changes

Now, if enemies come into your territory, it takes them longer to take over your land. This gives you more time to react and defend. It’s a way to keep your kingdom or faction safer and stronger.

Also, when your territory is under the protection of your kingdom or faction, any outside group trying to build fortresses there will now face longer construction times.

If allied armies stand together on the same ground, the Guard command will attack the opponents with the chosen army to lead the front line.
