October is a month of changes and additions in Rise of Kingdoms as the upcoming update, “Heroic Anthem”, is bringing a whole host of systems and adjustments to the popular conquest game, the most important of which being the Camp system that will redefine the way players can team up and tackle greater challenges. This new patch is all about taking on powerful enemies, and collaborating with more players than ever as they explore new reaches of the world and conquer their enemies.

Camp Battles and Ability Synergies

As we just said, the single biggest addition in this patch is the Camp system, which brings along new Camp Battles, as well as improved unit synergies. The way this works is the following:

Alliances can now unite banners under one of four different camps in the world: Fire Camp, Earth Camp, Water Camp, and Wind Camp. These camps will all have at least one kingdom, and will take part in the new Camp Battles, which seemingly take place in a separate, unique map created just for this occasion. In order to ensure a fair competition, the game will have a matchmaking system that weighs the power of every alliance, and distributes them across the four camps. And while each camp may have a number of alliances and governors, these, in turn, can choose to band together into Coalitions, allowing them to pool their power and boost their teamwork even further through constant communication and being able to work towards a common goal.

Two interesting things about this new Camp Battle feature is that your troops will be able to equip additional commander’s skills, which can significantly improve their performance in combat. Moreover, half of the troops that fall in combat in this season will be revived in the end and added back to your army.

‘Protect the Supplies’ Tweaks and Adjustments

The devs also made a few changes to the “Protect the Caravan” event, designed to make them more accessible for everyone, while also making them tougher for the stronger players in the server. Specifically, they adjusted the spawn location of both the caravan and the raiders to make it more reasonable for players. Additionally, they also ramped up the difficulty for those challenging the 20-star fights and above. Lastly, they also implemented limits to event participation and load.

Miscellaneous Changes

This time around, there were many small changes to numerous systems and events. Some of the most notable here include:

  1. The addition of a new commander boss in the “Ceroli Steppe” mode.
  2. The “Light and Darkness” season has changed in the sense that players will only be able to send troops to only one Ancient Ruin and Altar of Darkness each at a time.
  3. In the “Past Glory” mode, the buff that players receive after stage 1 has been changed to “+50% attack”.
  4. Players can now trade in unwanted items in the Alliance Shop for individual credits via the new “Alliance Reclaim” feature.
  5. New UI adjustments and additions to several features, including the Peerless Scholar event, the Forge, the Newspaper, army emojis, and many others, to improve the player’s experience.

An important thing to mention here is that, if you’re playing Rise of Kingdoms on BlueStacks, you will need to log into the game on your phone if you want to create a new character after the update. This measure was implemented as a 2-step authentication of sorts to increase account security.

We recommend taking a look at the official changelog for the Rise of Kingdoms patch 1.0.39 “Heroic Anthem” if you want to learn all the details. The ones we mentioned above were definitely the most notable, but there are a few other tidbits here and there.
