Adoption Island has gone full haunted mode. The Adopt Me Halloween 2026 event runs from October 3 to October 31, and it has already added nine new pets, two minigames, and a four level Crypt that only opens with Crypt Keys. • Hotel: The bright, sign covered building with ghosts circling the roof. Bolt works the front desk, the Poltergeist Box sits in the lobby, the Hauntlet 2 queue is at the elevator, and the Jacobin Pigeon nest is inside.
• Carnival: Located near the Nursery and still under construction. For now, it only sells the Jester Dragon.

All New Adopt Me Halloween 2026 Pets and How to Get Them

Mummy Spider

The Mummy Spider is the only Halloween pet that costs nothing but time. Players need to unlock graves with Crypt Keys until they find the ladder on each floor, then claim the spider at the bottom of the fourth level.

Claiming it makes the Crypt cave in and restart from the top. That reset is actually good news, because every full clear gives another Mummy Spider. Four fully grown copies can be turned into a Neon, so this is the easiest Neon of the event for free players.

Jacobin Pigeon

The Jacobin Pigeon is a fancy Common bird with a small building project attached. Some Crypt graves drop Twigs instead of Candy Corn, and players need 8 of them. Place all 8 Twigs in the nest inside the Hotel, and once the pigeon settles in, it can be adopted for 4,000 Candy Corn.

Jumpscare

Jumpscare is the ghost that greets players at the Manor doors. There is no puzzle here. Save 40,000 Candy Corn, walk into the Manor, and adopt it. The Ghost Gallery minigame right next to it is the fastest way to reach that total.

Jester Dragon

The Jester Dragon is the Legendary Robux pet of Week 1, sold at the Carnival for 1,000 Robux. It cannot be bought with Candy Corn, so free players can skip it and focus their currency on the other pets.

Bolt

Bolt is the new bellhop who took over the Hauntlet from last year’s host, Patchy. He stands by the front desk in the Hotel lobby and can be adopted for 10,000 Candy Corn. Players who want the full look can also dress their pets in his matching bellhop gear, which sells for Candy Corn.

Skelicorn

The Skelicorn is a winged skeleton unicorn and the most expensive Candy Corn pet so far. It sits lifeless in a cage near the Manor, and the machine beside it is missing a part. That part is the Lightning Lever, which drops from graves in the Crypt.

Open graves with Crypt Keys until the message confirming the Lightning Lever appears. Rewards are random, so the lever can take a few floors or even a full Crypt reset to show up. Once it is in the backpack, head to the machine by the cage, install the lever, and pull it. Lightning hits the cage, the Skelicorn wakes up, and it can then be adopted for 120,000 Candy Corn.

Players who started a Crypt run before October 9 may not see the lever in their reward pool. Finishing that run and letting the Crypt reset usually fixes it.

Poltergeist Box Pets: Caramelgeist, Bobageist, and Bubblegeist

The three candy themed ghosts only come from the Poltergeist Box, which sits in the Hotel lobby and costs 13,000 Candy Corn per box.

• Caramelgeist: Uncommon, 76% chance
• Bobageist: Ultra Rare, 20% chance
• Bubblegeist: Legendary, 4% chance

A 4% chance means the Bubblegeist takes about 25 boxes on average, which works out to roughly 325,000 Candy Corn. Luck can swing that number a lot in either direction. Players chasing it should lock in the guaranteed pets first and treat the box as a bonus.

How to Get Crypt Keys in Adopt Me Halloween 2026

Crypt Keys are the real bottleneck of this event. Every grave in the Crypt costs one key to open, and keys come from only a few places.

• Daily Halloween tasks: 4 keys per day. Open the Task Board from the icon on the left side of the screen and pick the tab with the pumpkin icon. Most tasks are simple pet needs.
• Ghost Gallery boss: 1 key for defeating the boss in the Ghost Gallery minigame.
• Hauntlet 2: Some guides list Crypt Keys as a Hauntlet 2 reward, but the official notes do not confirm it. Treat any keys from there as a bonus.

Keys do not go into the inventory on their own after a task is done. Press Claim on each finished task, then check the Halloween section of the backpack to confirm the total. The keys are untradable, so the only way to get more is to earn them.

The official notes do not say whether the Ghost Gallery boss key can be earned more than once a day. The safe plan is to count on 5 keys per day. With some luck, 4 keys can carry a run all the way down, since each floor only needs one correct grave to reveal the ladder. Unlucky runs take more, so open graves every day instead of letting keys pile up.

Adopt Me Halloween 2026 Crypt Guide: Graves, Twigs, and the Lightning Lever

The Crypt has four floors, and every floor is lined with locked graves. One grave on each floor hides the ladder down, while the rest give out rewards. Each floor also shows a reward board, which helps players see what is still in the pool.

• Candy Corn: Usually 1,000 to 2,000 per grave
• Twigs: Needed for the Jacobin Pigeon nest
• Lightning Lever: Added in Week 2 and needed to unlock the Skelicorn
• Ladder: Leads to the next floor, and on the last floor, to the Mummy Spider

The order matters here. Claiming the Mummy Spider resets the whole Crypt, so open any graves worth keeping before picking up the spider. Players short on Twigs or still hunting the Lightning Lever should spend extra keys on the current floor instead of rushing to the bottom.

Ghost Gallery

Ghost Gallery is the Week 1 minigame inside the Manor and the best source of both Candy Corn and Crypt Keys.

• Schedule: A new round starts every 10 minutes and lasts 150 seconds
• First half: Ghosts hide inside furniture for 75 seconds. Pets sniff out the right pieces, and each piece can hold up to three ghosts.
• Second half: A large boss ghost appears with a health bar split into four parts. Each time a part breaks, the boss vanishes and smaller ghosts return.
• Rewards: Up to 5,000 Candy Corn based on score, plus 1 Crypt Key for beating the boss

Blasting furniture with no ghost inside simply removes it, so watch where the ghosts fly before firing. During the boss phase, keep a little distance, since the boss can knock players away. The Pro Ghost Blaster (29 Robux) makes the fight a bit easier, but the basic blaster is enough to win.

Hauntlet 2

Hauntlet 2 is the Week 2 minigame, and it lives inside the Hotel. Queue at the elevator in the lobby, as a new round starts every 20 minutes. Each room has three doors, and players must keep picking safe doors across several floors while avoiding ghosts. Everyone starts with three hearts, and each ghost hit costs one.

This year, items work for everyone in the room, and some floors let the team choose between different areas. Picking the same area as friends keeps the group together.

• Rainbow Wand: Removes every ghost in the room
• Phone: Bolt always lies, so the arrow points at a ghost door
• Key: Opens locked doors that lead to safer, richer paths
• Golden Key: Opens the matching Golden Door
• Heart Potion: Refills all missing hearts
• Golden Heart Potion: Adds one extra heart but does not heal
• Ghost Potion: Gives a temporary heart that blocks damage for one door

Door types matter too. Regular doors are safe but pay little, while Haunted and Nightmare doors are risky but give better loot. Security Doors need two keys and Golden Doors need a Golden Key, but both always give a strong item. Spider Web doors steal a random item, so avoid them when holding something useful.

Candy Corn and Bucks scale with how far a run goes, so even a failed run pays out. Escaping the full Hauntlet also unlocks the Legendary Escaped Hauntlet, Too Sticker.

The two minigames run on different timers, which makes them easy to stack. Play Ghost Gallery when it opens, head to the Hotel for the next Hauntlet 2 queue, and fill the gaps with pet needs. The Stray Cat outside the Manor only accepts food that pets can eat, so potions and drinks will not work.

The gamepass is only worth it for players going after the expensive pets. For perspective, the Skelicorn alone needs 24 perfect Ghost Gallery rounds, so a 25% boost adds up over a full month.
