Each target Champion displays the exact list of Champions required directly beneath it, and if you already own a required Champion, a marker appears in the corner of its avatar.

Fusion matters because it gives you a planned, goal-oriented path to specific Champions rather than leaving acquisition to chance. The trade-off is that it asks for dedication and forward planning, since the components have to be collected, leveled, and prepared before the fusion can be completed. How the Fusion Mechanics Work

A component must be at the specified Rank or higher, sit at the maximum Level for that Rank, and be fully Ascended to the maximum Ascension Level for that Rank. Permanent Fusions You Can Complete Anytime

Some fusions are always available in the Portal with no deadline attached. The most accessible of these is Relickeeper, an Epic from the Sacred Order faction. Relickeeper is built from four Level 40 Rare Champions: Justiciar, Executioner, Templar, and Sorceress. Justiciar itself is a fusion, created from four Level 30 Rares, namely Warmaiden, Diabolist, Spirithost, and Heiress.
