Raid: Shadow Legends is greeting the year of 2022 with a minor update. They are adding a new Crypt and a completely new item that will let you change the stats of your artifacts and accessories. Having a minor update is acceptable considering they previously dropped the biggest update they have in a while last year with the addition of the clan boss Hydra. 

The clan boss Hydra is one of the most unique bosses that they have introduced in the game so far, fighting Hydra is fighting a completely different enemy every time with its heads having different abilities. You can read more about the Hydra in our previous article here.

Chaos Ore

Raid: Shadow Legends is adding a new item that allows you to rework the Stats and Substats of various Artifacts. Chaos Ores are so far only available as a reward in Events and Tournaments but they are going to be a part of some Limited Special Offers in the future. Artifact stats in Raid: Shadow Legends that are getting dropped after a dungeon run will have completely random stats and you will have nothing to do about it before but to sell them and just keep hunting for artifacts that will eventually have the stats that you wanted. You will now have a chance to redeem the quality of the artifact’s stats one more time with the addition of the Chaos Ore or at least if you have them. 

You can use the Chaos Ores in the gears that you have with equal or with a higher rarity and can only be reset once. You cannot use the Chaos Ores in Mythical Artifacts as of now but they did not state if they are going to change it in the future. Main stats that are locked are not gonna be affected by the reset but think twice before you use the Chaos Ore in an artifact that you have spent resources on before because all Glyph upgrades will also be reset.

You can access the Chaos Ores that you have gathered in the Rework tab in the Artifact Upgrade Menu, you can also gather as many Chaos Ores that you want. Using the Chaos Ore will also require Silver.

Shadowkin Crypt

The Shadowkin Crypt is a new Crypt that is going to be available in the game soon. This Crypt will affect Faction War Challenges and completing this Crypt is going to be mandatory if you want to claim Lydia the Deathsiren. You will not be able to get a duplicate of Lydia the Deathsiren if you already claim it but you can still get extra rewards by earning more stars for the Faction Wars Challenges.

There is a high chance that the update is going to go live during the Faction Wars Cycle and the new Crypt will not be added until it resets but the new requirements to get Lydia the Deathsiren will still be changed right after the update even though the Crypt is still not a part in the Faction Wars Challenges so players are going to need to wait for the Faction Wars Cycle to reset to be able to get Lydia the Deathsiren.

QoL Adjustments

• A new rank and rarity filter for Artifacts and Accessories will now let you hide the Gears that you already fully reworked using the Chaos Ore. The filter will also allow you to select all the items at once.
• The Champion Vault will also have 100 extra slots available.
