Summoners War: Sky Arena, the turn-based RPG by Com2US has been going strong for 9 years now, as it launched back in 2014. On the brink of completing a decade, the anime-stylized chibi monster collector shows no signs of stopping. A live-service gacha game completing 9 years and still going strong is a big deal in today’s competitive scenario of mobile gaming. A big congratulations to Com2US and team for achieving such a big feat. In this article, we will be listing out all the different kinds of events that Com2US has released for their 9th Anniversary. A ton of rewards, including the likes of Natural 5-Star monster, Legendary Scrolls, Devilmons, 5-Star Rainbowmons, Reappraisal Stones, Angelmons, loads of Crystals and Mystical Scrolls are awaiting to be claimed from these events.

For the record, all players who are going to be logging in to the game after 12th April are entitled to receive a special 9th Year Anniversary gift that contains the following rewards:

• 9-Year Special Scroll x 5

• Energy x 300

• Crystal x 100

New 9th Anniversary Scrolls

As usual with any anniversary of Com2US, new summoning scrolls have always been a core part of the rewards. These new scrolls are essentially an upgraded version of the familiar scrolls already present in the game. Some of them even have special mechanics to differentiate them such as an innate Natural 5-Star monster blessing that helps players produce 3 different monsters to choose from if they manage to summon one. 

Let’s take a look at all the different summoning scrolls coming with 9th Anniversary:

• 9-Year Transcendence Scroll – It’s a special scroll that summons Nat 5 Monsters. Nine Nat 5 Monsters of Fire, Water, or Wind will be summoned, and you can pick one Monster to obtain.
• 9-Year Legendary Scroll – It’s a special scroll that summons Nat 4-5 Monsters. A total of three Monsters (one from each Fire, Water, and Wind attribute) of the same default grade will be summoned, and you can pick one Monster to obtain.
• 9-Year Special Scroll – It’s a special scroll that summons Nat 3-5 Monsters. When the scroll summons a Nat 4-5 Monster, a total of three Monsters (one from each Fire, Water, and Wind attribute) of the same default grade will be summoned, and you can pick one Monster to obtain.

9th Year Anniversary Natural 5-Star Monster Summon Event

The 9th year anniversary has started and in full swing as we write! The first event part of the series of events known as “9th Year Anniversary Part 1” and the event is titled as “Nat 5 Monster Summon Event”.  If the name doesn’t give it away, the catch is that players will be getting a free natural 5-Star monster through the event. Players can summon 9 different natural 5-Star monster via the event but they can choose only 1 at the end. The anniversary is one of the most auspicious moments for any live-service game. Such events are the core of the game and explicitly great for the anniversary as it attracts new players. 

The entire 9th anniversary takes into account a special type of event currency known as “9-year coins”. This event currency is obtained via doing multiple types of activities in-game. Here is a brief disclosure of all the activities you can do to maximize your 9-year coin gains:

• Check In to the game – 9-year coins x 10
• Content drops via in-game activities and game modes. The game modes include the likes of campaign mode, caiross dungeon, Rift of Worlds, and Dimension Hole. The drops will increase according to the energy consumption and difficulty of the dungeon. –  9-year coins x 1-3
• Enter Arena and World Arena. This includes the following game modes – Rival Battle, World Arena Ranking Battle, Inter server Battle, and World Arena 2v2 Battle. Only World Arena goodwill battle does not drop the event currency.  – 9-year coins x 3
• Enter Guild content 1 time. Guild content includes World Guild Battle, Guild Rival Battle, Siege Battle, Monster Subjugation, and Tartarus Labyrinth. – 9-year coins x 5
• Obtain 100 Crystals – 9-year coins x 5
• Spend 100 Crystals – 9-year coins x 5

These 9-year coins play a very crucial role in all of the sub-events that come under the Nat 5 Monster Summon Event. Here are sub-events:

• Summon Nat 5 Fire/Water/Wind Monster
• Summon Nat 4 Fire/Water/Wind Monster
• Summon Nat 3 Light/Dark Monster

Summon Nat 5 Fire/Water/Wind Monster Event

Here is a brief gist of the event:

• You can summon a random Fire/Water/Wind Nat 5 Monster MAX 9 times according to the Total 9-Year Coins Collected.
• You can acquire one of the summoned Monsters.
• Monsters summoned from the event page once cannot be summoned again. You cannot change to another Monster after acquiring one.
• Nat 5 Fusion Monsters and Ifrit are excluded.
• After the collab ends on May 1st 7:59am PDT, collab Monsters will be excluded. (Collab Monsters already summoned before collab ended can be acquired.)

Players can get summon up to 9 Natural 5-Star monsters at the following milestones:

• 100 9-Year Coins Collected – 1st Natural 5-Star Monster Summoned
• 300 9-Year Coins Collected – 2nd Natural 5-Star Monster Summoned
• 600 9-Year Coins Collected – 3rd Natural 5-Star Monster Summoned
• 1000 9-Year Coins Collected – 4th Natural 5-Star Monster Summoned
• 1500 9-Year Coins Collected – 5th Natural 5-Star Monster Summoned
• 2000 9-Year Coins Collected – 6th Natural 5-Star Monster Summoned
• 3000 9-Year Coins Collected – 7th Natural 5-Star Monster Summoned
• 4000 9-Year Coins Collected – 8th Natural 5-Star Monster Summoned
• 5000 9-Year Coins Collected – 9th Natural 5-Star Monster Summoned

Summon Nat 4 Fire/Water/Wind Monster Event

Here is a brief gist of the event:

• You can select one attribute among Fire, Water, and Wind attributes to summon a Nat 4 Monster whenever you acquire 50 9-Year Coins.
• Monsters that have been summoned once will not be summoned again.
• If you have summoned a desired Monster, you can select the Monster to acquire.

Summon Nat 3 Light/Dark Monster Event

Here is a brief gist of the event:

• You can select one attribute among Light and Dark attributes to summon a Nat 3 Monster whenever you acquire 50 9-Year Coins.
• Monsters that have been summoned once will not be summoned again.
• If you have summoned a desired Monster, you can select the Monster to acquire.
• (Light) Fairy Queen, (Light) Magical Archer, and (Light/Dark) Cow Girl are excluded from summoning.

9-Year Anniversary Special Part 2 – Coin Shop Event

The 9-Year Anniversary Coin Shop Event is the perfect event for all players to exchange their collected 9-Year coins for juicy rewards, including the likes of up to 100 9-Year scrolls! The event is designed to reward players based on their efforts and daily activeness. As per usual, like any Summoners War event, this is no different and can be completed well within the given time frame. The duration of the event is also quite long, as it started on 12th April 2023 and scheduled to end on 11th June, 2023. Players can claim their rewards till 12th June, 2023. 

9-Year Special Scrolls Giveaway

Players can exchange their collected 9-Year coins for 9-Year Special Scrolls. Each 9-Year Special Scroll cost 9 coins to exchange. Hence, players can complete this event if they manage to farm 900 9-Year coins till the end of the event to redeem 100 9-Year Special Scrolls. Along with every purchase, 10,000 Mana Stones are also given to accommodate players into summoning them easily.

9-Year Premium Shop

Players can exchange their collected 9-Year coins for some extra luxurious goodies. The prices are quite hefty for the items in the shop but as there is no limit on how many 9-Year coins you can farm, it’s quite easily doable if you spend enough time playing the game. Here are the items along with their required currencies:

• Legendary Scroll x 1 – 9-Year Coins x 150 (Purchasable up to 3 times)
• Devilmon x 1 – 9-Year Coins x 150 (Purchasable up to 3 times)
• Light and Dark Summoning Scroll x 1 – 9-Year Coins x 150 (Purchasable up to 3 times)

9-Year General Shop

Players can exchange their collected 9-Year coins for some additional goodies. The prices are reasonable for the items in the shop but again, as there is no limit on how many 9-Year coins you can farm, it’s quite easily doable if you spend enough time playing the game.

• Giant’s Keep Rune Set Fix x 1 – 9-Year Coins x 20 (Purchasable up to 3 times)
• Dragon’s Lair Rune Set Fix x 1 – 9-Year Coins x 20 (Purchasable up to 3 times)
• Necropolis Rune Set Fix x 1 – 9-Year Coins x 20 (Purchasable up to 3 times)
• Mystical Scroll x 10 – 9-Year Coins x 100 (Purchasable up to 5 times)
• Forbidden Evolution Scroll x 1 – 9-Year Coins x 100 (Purchasable up to 1 time)
• Awakening Force x 1 – 9-Year Coins x 50 (Purchasable up to 1 time)
• Super Angelmon x 1 – 9-Year Coins x 50 (Purchasable up to 1 time)
• Artifact (Legend Grade) x 1 – 9-Year Coins x 40 (Purchasable up to 2 times)

9-Year Rune Shop

The Rune Shop, as the name suggests, is the shop where players can purchase some of the highest quality of runes available in the game. They can choose to customize the runes according to their needs. Players can also power up the runes up to +12 to see if they like it or not. Here are the rules when it comes to this event:

• Refresh All randomly changes the grade, type, main property, and sub-properties of all 6 Runes.
• You can obtain a total 6 6–Star Hero+ Runes. (1 from each Rune number)
• 100 Coins are used for purchasing Legend Runes, 50 Coins for Hero Runes, and 30 Coins for Refresh All.
• Runes that you already obtained are not included in the refresh list. Prefix properties aren’t granted.

Bonus Shop

The Bonus Shop, are redeemable infinitely as long as you have the amount of 9-Year Coins for it. The real catch is that the prizes have some rules on their prize. First, let’s look at the rewards and their base price:

• Mana Stones x 30,000 – 9-Year Coin x 10 (Base Price)
• Energy x 20 – 9-Year Coin x 10 (Base Price)

9-Year Special Chest Event

This event is specially designed for players to get rewarded when they summon monsters in the Summoning Henge. Players can get points to open special 9-Year Chests. The event can already be seen live in-game as it started on 12th April, 2023 and scheduled to end on 11th June, 2023. Players can claim the rewards till 12th June, 2023. Here are the different methods to get points for the event:

• Summon Nat 3+ monsters – 5 points each time
• Use 9-Year special scroll 1 time – 100 points each time

Players can use 100 of their collected points in the event to draw out the rewards from the 9-Year Special chest. Each chest contains different types of loot, available at different probabilities. Here are the rewards along with their probabilities:

• 9-Year Legendary Scroll x 1 – 0.05% Acquisition Rate
• Transcendence Summoning Pieces x 10 – 0.10% Acquisition Rate
• Legendary Summoning Piece x 10 – 0.10% Acquisition Rate
