Standoff 2 Osiris Update – Season 12 and SO2 Remastered

Season 12 has arrived in Standoff 2 with the Osiris update, and this season introduces considerably more than new rewards and maps. At the center of the update is SO2 Remastered, a major technical upgrade that moves the game to a new client-server architecture while changing movement, animations, networking, and several other systems.
The core Standoff 2 experience remains familiar, but players should notice differences as soon as they enter a match. Osiris also introduces the Egyptian-themed Pyramid map, the new Battle Shop progression system, Bingo: Osiris, ranked leaderboards, new agents, an Osiris Collection, and numerous fixes and quality-of-life changes.

SO2 Remastered Brings Major Technical and Gameplay Changes
SO2 Remastered is the biggest part of the Osiris update. Standoff 2 now operates on a new client-server architecture designed to give the server more reliable control over important events occurring during matches. This should improve hit registration, synchronization between players, and connection stability.
Hitmarkers have changed as part of the transition. Hits are now confirmed by the server, and players can adjust the hitmarker through the settings to better identify when their damage has actually registered.

Disconnections should also be less punishing. Players can now reconnect to their current round without their character automatically dying. However, the developers emphasize that the new architecture cannot fix a poor internet connection, so having a stable connection remains important.
Movement has received noticeable changes as well. There is now inertia when stopping or changing direction, while strafing and crouching have been reworked. Bunnyhopping has also been added, giving experienced players another movement mechanic to learn. Character skeletons and animations have been updated alongside these changes, resulting in straighter character posture and different-looking movement during matches.
Even dropped weapons behave differently. New physics allow weapons on the ground to react to gunfire, knife attacks, and explosions. Player displays and spectator mode have also been updated, while the killcam now stays focused on your character instead of potentially revealing enemy positions.
Android players running Android 11 or newer can use a new Precise Aim Response feature. It is designed to make touch input more responsive while reducing jerky sensitivity behavior. The trade-off is that enabling the feature can increase device load and battery consumption.
SO2 Remastered also lays new groundwork for Standoff 2’s anti-cheat systems. According to the developers, moving to the new architecture has already made some methods of gaining unfair advantages ineffective. Anti-cheat development will continue, however, and SO2 Remastered is described as an important step rather than a complete solution to cheating.
Pyramid and Other Season 12 Map Changes
Season 12 introduces Pyramid, a new Egyptian-themed map designed for Team Deathmatch and other modes that use TDM maps. Its arrival fits directly with the Osiris theme and gives players a completely new environment to learn throughout the season.

Several existing maps have also received attention. Village has an updated appearance alongside minor layout adjustments, while Training Outside received a substantial visual overhaul without changing its underlying layout.
Rust, Province, Hanami, and Hanari received numerous smaller adjustments. These range from general comfort improvements to position balancing and changes intended to make grenade throws easier.
There is one departure as well: Calypso has been removed from Standoff 2.
Some content has not yet made the transition to SO2 Remastered. Arms Race and certain private lobby features remain in development and are planned to return in a future update.
Ranked Leaderboards and Season 11 Rewards
Osiris adds leaderboards directly to Standoff 2, giving competitive players a way to compare their performance against both top players and friends.
Competitive, Allies, and Duel each receive independent leaderboards. Because every mode uses its own MMR, being highly ranked in one does not automatically determine your position in another.

The World tab displays the top 200 players by MMR. Players must complete calibration for the relevant mode and reach account level 100 before they can appear on its global leaderboard. If you meet both requirements but are outside the top 200, you can still see your own row and current MMR, although your exact global position will not be displayed.
The Friends tab is less restrictive. It lets you compare your performance against friends without a 200-player limit or minimum account-level requirement. Leaderboards are purely for ranking and comparison, so there are no rewards for leaderboard placement.
Players are also receiving rewards based on their performance during Season 11: Breakout. Up to three of 18 new charms can be earned, with one reward available for Competitive, Allies, and Duel respectively.
The charm awarded depends on the highest rank achieved in each mode during the season. Bronze I-IV earns Bronze, Silver I-IV earns Silver, Gold I-IV earns Gold, Phoenix through Champion earns Elite Gold, Master and Elite earn Platinum, and Legend earns Diamond.
Battle Shop: Osiris, Gold Pass, and the Osiris Collection
Season 12 changes seasonal progression through the Battle Shop: Osiris, which runs for four weeks. Instead of progressing through a conventional linear reward track, players complete missions to earn Golden Tickets and then choose how to spend them.

This means players can save Golden Tickets for rewards they specifically want rather than unlocking everything in a fixed order. Certain items have purchase limits, and the Battle Shop can direct you toward additional sources of Golden Tickets when you do not have enough for a purchase.
The Gold Pass adds extra missions and premium rewards and can also be purchased with Gold. Progress made on Gold missions before purchasing the pass is not wasted. The corresponding Golden Tickets are saved and awarded once the Gold Pass is activated. If you’re short on Gold, check out this Standoff 2 Gold Guide on the best ways to earn and grow your Gold faster.
Medal progression works slightly differently from spending. Your Osiris Medal is based on the total number of Golden Tickets you have earned, not how many you currently possess. Spending tickets therefore does not reduce medal progress.
There are six medal levels ranging from Bronze through Diamond. Free Pass players can reach Silver by completing all daily and weekly missions, while Gold Pass owners can reach Gold simply by completing all available missions without needing additional Golden Tickets.
The update also introduces the Osiris Collection. Its Weapon Case includes weapon skins and four knives, and there is no limit on how many cases can be purchased during the event. The Style Pack instead focuses on customization items such as stickers, charms, and graffiti.
Osiris Collection items will not immediately be tradable through the Marketplace. Buying and selling them is planned to become available shortly after the event ends.
Bingo: Osiris and Treasure Hunter Rewards
The Bingo: Osiris event runs alongside the Battle Shop and provides another way to earn seasonal rewards. Players receive a 3×3 board containing nine missions.

Completing an individual cell awards Coins, while finishing three missions across a horizontal or vertical line unlocks an additional reward. Objectives cover several parts of the update, including earning XP and Golden Tickets, completing weekly Battle Shop missions, opening Battle Shop containers, logging in, playing ranked matches with a friend, playing Team Deathmatch on Pyramid, winning Defuse matches, and purchasing an item from Offers.
There are also two major completion rewards. Finishing two lines awards the M4 Bastet, while completing all nine missions awards the M4 Bastet StatTrack.
Make sure to claim Bingo rewards before the event ends. Completing a mission is not enough on its own; unclaimed rewards will not automatically be delivered after Bingo finishes.
Season 12 also offers three Treasure Hunter items in a separate event section: M9 Bayonet Treasure Hunter, G22 Treasure Hunter StatTrack, and Sticker Treasure Hunter. Purchasing all three unlocks the Arcane Charm Treasure Hunter, which will become sellable on the Marketplace later.
New Michael and Rafael Agents and Other Osiris Changes
Two Rare agents have joined the Standoff 2 Collection through the Bonus tab: Michael and Rafael. Unlike many of the Osiris rewards, there is no deadline for completing their requirements.

Michael is unlocked by winning 100 rounds on Defense in Competitive, while Rafael requires 100 rounds on Attack. Private matches do not contribute to either objective. Progress can be tracked through the Bonus tab, and the agents must be manually claimed after completing their requirements. Neither Michael nor Rafael can be sold on the Marketplace.
Osiris contains plenty of smaller gameplay and interface changes too. Molotov and Thermite now count as the same item for purchasing purposes. For example, a CT who carries a saved Molotov into the next round cannot also purchase Thermite. The My Data menu has been renamed Account Data, uncalibrated profiles now display “Not Calibrated,” region names and the available region list have changed, and a Legal Information section has been added to settings.
The update’s bug fixes cover a wide range of systems. First- and third-person sounds are now synchronized so other players hear the same transition between walking and running that you do. A bug that allowed higher-FPS players to achieve additional jump height has also been corrected, along with the Improved Character Visibility setting resetting after updates.
Several interface problems involving item windows, profile cards, progression rewards, Commander Pass information, clan profiles, Creator Codes, match history, graphics settings, and localized text have been addressed. Clan tags should now update immediately after joining or leaving a clan, and matchmaking displays a warning when a lobby member leaving causes the search to stop.
Temporary identical items now stack their durations correctly and should no longer disappear after restarting the game. Contract timers no longer rely on the device’s local time, while privacy-related links and several account-data interface elements have also been corrected.

Finally, the update fixes multi-touch behavior. A second touch should no longer unintentionally activate interface elements while another touch gesture is already taking place, which is an especially relevant improvement for a mobile shooter built around simultaneous movement, aiming, and other inputs.
Season 12: Osiris represents a significant transition for Standoff 2. While Pyramid, Battle Shop, Bingo, new cosmetics, and agents provide the visible seasonal content, SO2 Remastered changes many of the systems underneath the game. The new networking architecture, movement mechanics, animations, anti-cheat groundwork, and input improvements should affect players well beyond Season 12.
You can also play Standoff 2 on PC with BlueStacks to experience the Osiris update on a larger display with customizable keyboard and mouse controls. This can provide another way to handle aiming, movement, and weapon controls while exploring Pyramid and adapting to the changes introduced with SO2 Remastered.
