DC Worlds Collide Character Tier List

DC Worlds Collide is a free-to-play squad RPG from Warner Bros. Games where you assemble five-character teams from a roster of DC heroes and villains to fight the invading Crime Syndicate across story missions, boss fights, and 5v5 PvP arenas. With dozens of characters available and more added through seasonal updates, knowing which ones are worth your upgrade materials is critical. This tier list ranks characters from S to D based on their current meta performance, drawing from community analysis to reflect late-game viability across all major game modes.
How This Tier List Works
Every character in DC Worlds Collide belongs to one of three classes: DPS, Tank, or Support. Each also has a trait, either Mighty, Agile, or Tactical, that follows a counter cycle where Mighty beats Agile, Agile beats Tactical, and Tactical beats Mighty, granting 30 percent bonus damage against the weaker trait. Characters come in different rarities: Legendary heroes have five skills and stronger base stats but are significantly harder to build, while Epic heroes form the practical core of most rosters with four skills and more accessible upgrade paths. Elite and Rare characters have only three skills and are generally not worth heavy investment. The rankings below are based on overall late-game performance once skills and badges are developed, not just early game usefulness.
S Tier: The Best Characters in DC Worlds Collide
Superman DCU
(Legendary, Mighty/DPS) Superman DCU is the best burn carry in DC Worlds Collide. His basic attacks apply burn stacks on enemies and his ultimate detonates those stacks for massive damage, rewarding players who time their rotation well. He also provides passive healing sustain and shares a cheat death effect that prevents him from being one-shot, giving him durability that most DPS heroes lack.

Wonder Woman
(Legendary, Mighty/DPS) Wonder Woman is the strongest area damage dealer in the current roster. Her crit burst can silence targets, and she can stun enemies in addition to her broad AoE output. Her passive makes her notably durable for a DPS character, and she provides a team-wide crit rate bonus that benefits any offensive lineup she anchors.

Lex Luthor
(Legendary, Tactical/Tank) Lex Luthor is the most effective late-game tank in DC Worlds Collide. His shields protect the entire team rather than just himself, and badge upgrades make those shields progressively stronger. He also grants allies extra basic attacks, adding offensive utility to his defensive role and making him one of the few tanks that actively improves team damage output.

Mister Terrific DCU
(Epic, Tactical/Support) Mister Terrific DCU is rated the highest of any Epic-rarity support in the current meta. He contributes consistently across most team setups without demanding specific synergies to function, and his accessible build path makes him easier to develop than most Legendary alternatives. He is one of the new additions and has established himself as an immediate priority.

Green Lantern Guy DCU
(Epic, Mighty/DPS) Green Lantern Guy DCU is the top rated Epic-rarity DPS in the game. His ultimate gains a refresh on kill, allowing him to chain executions in the right scenario, and his passive converts damage dealt into a shield that gives him unexpected durability for a DPS unit. He was added as a recent banner character and immediately landed at the top of Epic DPS rankings.

A Tier: Strong Picks for Most Rosters
Sinestro
(Legendary, Tactical/DPS) Sinestro is the most effective debuff-stacking DPS in the game. His advanced skill applies multiple debuffs, and his ultimate deals dramatically higher damage when those stacks are built up, making him particularly strong in longer fights. He pairs best with other debuff-oriented characters and rewards players who understand how to manage his rotation.

The Flash
(Legendary, Agile/DPS) The Flash hits multiple targets and manipulates enemy action bars, slowing down opponent ultimates while accelerating his own team’s cycle. He also has a passive that triggers a full reset if he takes fatal damage while alone on the field, restoring health and removing all debuffs, which gives him exceptional survivability against burst-heavy teams.

Constantine
(Epic, Tactical/DPS) Constantine delivers some of the highest burst ultimate damage of any Epic hero and is available without spending premium currency, making him one of the most accessible high-tier characters in the game. His HP sacrifice mechanic requires some practice to manage, but his passive helps offset the cost, and at full investment he outperforms most Legendary DPS picks.

Nightwing
(Epic, Agile/Tank) Nightwing is the best Epic-rarity tank available to most players. Rather than soaking damage through raw HP, he avoids it through a high innate block chance that scales further with gear, eventually reaching 50 to 65 percent block in late-game builds. He can also apply Shelter to himself, making him genuinely competitive with Legendary tank options.

B Tier: Reliable Mid-Tier Options
Deathstroke
(Epic, Agile/DPS) Deathstroke gains energy at one of the fastest rates in the game and frequently attacks multiple times per cycle, making him one of the more consistent damage-per-second performers at the Epic rarity. He is less effective in endgame content compared to A-tier picks but remains a reliable contributor in story stages and mid-game PvP.

Zatanna
(Epic, Tactical/Support) Zatanna is a comprehensive support who boosts the entire team with lifesteal, a Frantic buff that accelerates skill usage, and turn meter advancement. Her ultimate also applies armor break for additional team damage. She does not quite match the ceiling of Mister Terrific DCU at the top of the support rankings but remains a strong roster option.

Gorilla Grodd
(Epic, Tactical/Tank) Gorilla Grodd provides natural damage reduction and a passive that amplifies debuff stacks on enemies when allies attack. This makes him particularly effective when paired with debuff-heavy characters like Sinestro, where his contribution multiplies the damage of the rest of the team. He is a situational pick that rewards smart team building.

The Bride DCU
(Epic, Mighty/Tank) The Bride DCU is rated A+ in community tier lists for her bleed stacking and damage output, but she requires her Rank 7 bonus and ideally a dedicated bleed or poison team to operate at that level. The conditions needed to unlock her full kit lower her practical viability for most rosters, placing her below the characters in A tier despite her high potential ceiling.

C Tier: Situational Characters
Batman
(Epic, Mighty/DPS) Batman applies Armor Break stacks through multi-hit attacks and can strip through tanky enemies faster than most early-game DPS options. He is a solid starter character and useful while the roster is still developing, but his damage ceiling falls well short of the A and S-tier DPS characters and he becomes less effective as enemy power scaling increases in late-game content.

Superman
(Epic, Mighty/Tank) The tank version of Superman offers a mix of burn damage and tanking through his passive, and his auto-revive with immunity can waste important enemy ultimates. However, the hybrid nature of his kit means he is not as effective as a pure tank or a pure damage dealer, limiting his usefulness in the later stages where specialized roles become more important.

Kid Flash
(Epic, Agile/Support) Kid Flash provides healing and accelerates team energy gain, which keeps ultimates cycling on a shorter schedule. He is a functional support in earlier content but sits below the ceiling of Zatanna and Mister Terrific DCU in the support role, making him a transitional pick best used until stronger supports are available.

Ocean Master
(Epic, Agile/Support) Ocean Master specializes in applying Weaken to enemies and dealing bleed-based counter-attack damage in extended fights. He was rated more highly in earlier tier lists but has settled in the B range in the current meta, where more impactful supports have raised the standard for the role.

Knowing which characters to invest in early makes a significant difference in how quickly your account grows in DC Worlds Collide. Focus your upgrade materials on S-tier picks like Superman DCU, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luthor at the Legendary level, and build toward top Epics like Mister Terrific DCU, Green Lantern Guy DCU, Constantine, and Nightwing for a competitive roster without requiring the heaviest summon investment. Always account for class and trait matchups when forming your squad, since a 30 percent damage bonus from trait advantage can shift close fights decisively. Avoid spending resources on Elite and Rare characters beyond what the early game requires. For the best gaming experience on PC, play DC Worlds Collide on BlueStacks!
