Free Fire x Naruto Shippuden Chapter 1 Event Guide Nine Tails, Hinata, Rewards, and More

The Naruto Shippuden universe has returned to Free Fire with the Chapter One: Nine Tails Strikes collaboration. The event brings back the iconic Nine Tails gameplay from the earlier crossover, but this time Garena has added new mechanics, a new Ninjutsu ability, a fresh location in the Hidden Leaf Village, and a brand-new Grand Prize system.
The event is available from September 16 to October 15, 2026. Its biggest additions include the ability to control Nine Tails using Sharingan: Control, the new 8 Trigrams Palm Rotation Ninjutsu, the Ninja Academy, and Free Fire’s first Pick-One Grand Prize, which lets players choose between the Hinata Bundle and Jiraiya Bundle.
Here is everything you need to know about the Free Fire x Naruto Shippuden Chapter 1 event, including the new Battle Royale mechanics, rewards, Ninjutsu, Hidden Leaf Village content, and the Hinata and Jiraiya bundles.

The collaboration is part of the game’s OB55 update and brings Naruto-themed content back to Battle Royale.
What Is the Free Fire x Naruto Shippuden Chapter 1 Event?
Chapter One: Nine Tails Strikes is the return of Free Fire’s original Naruto Shippuden-themed event, but it is not simply a rerun. The 2026 version adds new gameplay to the Nine Tails encounter, introduces Hinata Hyuga to Free Fire for the first time, and expands the Hidden Leaf Village with the Ninja Academy. Players can also use a new Ninjutsu ability and work toward a Grand Prize that gives them a choice between two character bundles.
This makes the event relevant to both players who experienced the original collaboration and those who are seeing the Free Fire x Naruto crossover for the first time.
How Does the Nine Tails Event Work?
Nine Tails can affect the beginning of a Battle Royale match in several different ways. At the start of a match, Nine Tails can target the aircraft, an Arsenal, or the ground.
If Nine Tails attacks the aircraft with a Tailed Beast Bomb, the plane catches fire. Once the countdown finishes, players are forced to eject rather than following the normal jump timing. Nine Tails can also blast open an Arsenal. On Bermuda, this allows players to enter the Arsenal and collect high-tier loot without needing an Arsenal Key.
The third possibility is a ground strike. On Bermuda, Nine Tails can hit the ground and create a crater containing loot. Because the event can change what happens before players even reach the ground, your usual landing strategy may need to change from one match to another.
Sharingan: Control Lets You Attack an Area With Nine Tails
The biggest new Battle Royale mechanic is Sharingan: Control. This skill appears during the middle of the match. After obtaining it, players can select an area on the map and call in Nine Tails to attack that location.
The selected area receives a five-second danger warning before Nine Tails launches a Tailed Beast Bomb. The explosion deals 60 explosive damage to players within a 100-meter radius. It also creates 8 to 10 flame spots, each covering a four-meter radius. These flames remain for 5 to 10 seconds and deal damage to players standing inside them. Players can also continue taking 1 damage per second for two seconds after leaving a flame spot.
This makes Sharingan: Control more than a visual callback to Naruto. It can be used to disrupt enemies holding an area, force opponents out of cover, or make a particular location difficult to defend. Since enemies receive a warning before the main explosion, timing matters. Using the ability against a moving squad may have less impact than targeting an area where opponents are already committed to a fight or position.
8 Trigrams Palm Rotation: New Ninjutsu in Free Fire
Hinata’s arrival is also represented through the new 8 Trigrams Palm Rotation Ninjutsu. The ability makes the player dash forward while creating a rotating chakra shield for two seconds. According to the OB55 patch notes, the shield can knock back nearby enemies, deal 50 damage, absorb bullets, and deflect some throwables.
That combination gives the skill both offensive and defensive value. It can help you create distance during a close-range fight, push an opponent away, or protect yourself while moving through an exposed area. Unlike a straightforward damage-focused Ninjutsu, 8 Trigrams Palm Rotation is built around movement and protection, so its usefulness depends heavily on when you activate it.
Which Naruto Ninjutsu Are Returning?
The new Hinata-inspired ability is joined by six Ninjutsu from the previous collaboration.
The returning abilities are:
- Water Dragon Jutsu
- Great Breach
- Fireball Jutsu
- Rasengan
- Chidori
- Cherry Blossom Clash
These give players several Naruto-inspired combat options during the collaboration. The exact situation in which you use a Ninjutsu matters more than simply carrying one, so it is worth testing the returning abilities alongside 8 Trigrams Palm Rotation.
Ninja Academy Comes to the Hidden Leaf Village
The Hidden Leaf Village has received a new landmark in the form of the Ninja Academy. The academy is closely associated with the early journeys of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and other shinobi in the anime. In Free Fire, players can explore the academy’s classrooms, visit the Chunin Written Exam Room, and interact with Naruto’s famous swing.
The swing also has a gameplay benefit. According to the OB55 patch notes, interacting with it grants a permanent 5% movement speed boost. The Hidden Leaf Village remains the default cabin across all maps during the event, making the Naruto-themed environment part of the regular pre-match experience.
Hinata Bundle vs Jiraiya Bundle: Which Grand Prize Should You Pick?
The 2026 collaboration introduces Free Fire’s first Pick-One Grand Prize system. After completing the required event missions, players can choose one of two major rewards:
- Hinata Bundle: This is a brand-new addition to Free Fire and marks Hinata Hyuga’s first appearance in the game. The outfit is based on her recognizable NARUTO SHIPPUDEN appearance.
- Jiraiya Bundle: This reward is based on Jiraiya, one of the Legendary Sannin and Naruto’s mentor.

The choice ultimately comes down to which character you prefer. Hinata is the better pick for players who specifically want the new collaboration content, while Jiraiya is the natural choice for fans who prefer Naruto’s mentor and the returning character-themed reward.
Before claiming the Grand Prize, make sure you have decided which bundle you want because the event is designed around choosing one of the two rewards.
Hinata’s Hidden Event Easter Egg
There is also a small Hinata-themed interaction hidden within the collaboration’s event interface.
Garena says the interaction is inspired by two of Hinata’s signature elements from NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Twin Lion Fists and the Byakugan. It is a small detail, but fans should check the event interface rather than focusing only on the main rewards.
Naruto Rewards and Returning Cosmetics
The event is not limited to the two Grand Prize bundles.
Garena has confirmed several Naruto-themed collectibles, including:
- Tsunade’s Cloak
- Gaara’s Tattoo Facepaint
- Kakashi’s ANBU Black Ops Mask
- Froggy Wallet elimination crate
Returning bundles inspired by Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and other characters are also available during the collaboration.
The exact way each cosmetic is obtained can differ, so check the relevant event section before spending Diamonds or other resources.
Naruto Music Returns to Free Fire
The collaboration also brings back recognizable music from the anime. Blue Bird plays during the parachuting sequence, while the NARUTO Main Theme is used as the collaboration lobby music. These additions complement the Hidden Leaf Village, character cosmetics, and Naruto-themed gameplay.
Best Things to Do During the Free Fire Naruto Event
If you want to get the most out of Chapter One: Nine Tails Strikes, start with the event missions because they are tied to the Pick-One Grand Prize. Once you have access to the Grand Prize, decide between Hinata and Jiraiya before claiming your reward.
In Battle Royale, pay attention to what Nine Tails does at the beginning of each match. An aircraft attack can change when everyone has to jump, while an opened Arsenal or ground crater can create an unexpected opportunity for high-tier loot.
It is also worth collecting Sharingan: Control when it appears. The ability is especially useful when you know where an enemy squad is positioned and want to make that area dangerous.
Finally, visit the Ninja Academy and interact with Naruto’s swing. Besides being a recognizable Naruto reference, the interaction provides the permanent movement-speed buff mentioned in the OB55 patch notes. For the best gaming experience, play Free Fire on BlueStacks!
