The settings in each emulator were identical:
- 4 Cores
- 4096 GB RAM
- DirectX & OpenGL Modes tested independently
The test results are compelling, BlueStacks 3 outperformed each competitor in CPU/RAM usage, frames per second, load time, and app compatibility.
As a US-based company, one thing BlueStacks does differently than competitors is that it follows US Data Security And Privacy laws which protect a user’s data and personal information. Other emulators may not abide by the same strict laws
BlueStacks vs Nox – We tested Nox’s emulator compatibility mode and speed mode. Regardless of the mode used, BlueStacks 3’s performed better than Nox in every benchmark category. When running multiple instances in Nox’s Multi Drive, performance decayed exponentially.
An interesting result discovered was that Nox performed worse in their speed mode than in their regular mode.
BlueStacks vs. KOplayer – KOplayer’s performance in speed or compatibility mode lagged far behind BlueStacks 3. KOPlayer also caused the testing computer to lag and freeze, triggering a blue screen error on two different occasions. BlueStacks 3 beat both of KOplayer’s modes score easily.
BlueStacks vs. Memu – Memu runs smoothly when you first load it, however, once the Benchmark performance testing starts, you can clearly see that Memu cannot handle popular mobile games like Lineage II Revolution or Mobile Legends. RAM and CPU consumption experiences spikes causing the system to stutter.
